Us Backlight Lcd Screen Replacement for Psp 1000 1001

What were we going to do? By "we", I mean my 11 year old grandson & me. One day we had a full-functioning PSP...the next we had a PSP with a broken screen that couldn't be used at all. It looked like we were going to have to save up to buy another one - YIKES!Through the Sony website, we learned that we could have the screen replaced, but would have to pay about half of what a new PSP would cost. Still over our budget.We searched "Replacement Screen for PSP" on Amazon & found several options, including this one. Since the others were all more expensive & we didn't even know if we had the ability to fix it, we opted for this one since it was the "cheapest".We ordered it very late on a Thursday night, it was shipped on Saturday, & we received it on Monday. It was packaged very securely & was exactly as described on Amazon.My grandson found a video on the web that showed how to replace the screen & within 30 minutes, he had removed the broken screen, replaced it with the new one, & was back to doing all that he does with his "brand-new" PSP!Overall, an extremely pleasant experience. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

(while had a Refund due to Shipping multiple Delays,) screen came eventually and was super easy to install havent had a Single problem yet!only teeny nitpick? is the LCD Light's lamp is visable if you tilt the PSP a certain way unlike the Sony Factory screens. if you could drive a PSP Screen w/ a Pi Easily w/o butchering a psp1k, this would make a nice Project screen!was a big help to save my old Orginal run PSP (that thru homebrew tools showed Orginal FW was 1.00) Thanks Notesupplies it saved my old trust friend from the last 10 years!

The media could not be loaded.  This is the second one I bought from here. I thought the first screen was maybe defective so I gave them another shot and bought a second one just for the benefit of the doubt. Easy installation, BUT the screen lasted only a few hours before becoming defective. I attached pictures to show what the screen turned into only after a few hours.Maybe I just got 2 defective screens but I wouldn't recommend this product.P.S. the first screen did the same exact thing. Lasted a few hours as well before going bad. And no it's not my settings!

I ordered this to replace a screen that had a chip in the center of it--apparently something got into the system between front shell and the actual screen and pressure on the front shell caused it.This screen was a surprise. As far as I can tell, it's a new screen and not refurbished. There's a bit of plastic shielding on the original that sticks to the giant ribbon cable, protecting the components on it, and that wasn't on this new one. Also, the original had some sort of foam tape on the top metal bezel that wasn't present on this new one. I was unable to reuse anything from my old screen, but this didn't pose a problem.Every pixel works perfectly. The screen is a direct replacement for the original, with no fitting issues or anything else I can think of. This is highly recommended if your current screen is damaged in any way.

My old screen still works perfectly, I just bought this so I'd have a replacement in the future when legacy PSP hardware becomes rare. As far as picture quality (resolution, IQ, color accuracy, etc) this screen is identical to my old one. It's quite a high quality screen. It'll be a great replacement when mine wears out.Although the image quality is just as high as the official screens in PSP 1000s, it doesn't fit quite as well as the one that came installed in my PSP. It still fits snugly, it just takes a bit more work to lock into place. That's not a big complaint though, so really this is a good screen for a good price, that will give you the same high image quality as the original PSP screen.

Screen works amazing. I had an old PSP that had a broken screen. I followed along with an install video from YouTube. One thing that threw me off was that they included a stick on foam padding for the screen and the install guides didn’t mention it - it turned out being self explanatory once I noticed how it sat on the original screen that I removed. For the price, it’s amazing to have a full functional psp - especially now that you can download all the old games right on to the memory card.

I purchased this screen do to a cousin who had dropped my psp 1000 and smashed the screen i bought the screen fairly cheap which had me worried at first, But i then recieved the screen in the mail i took it out of its well packaged envelope and the screen was in excellant condition which made me very happy i found a video on youtube that showed me how to take apart my psp and replace the screen when i finally was done i flicked on the psp power switch and bam!! psp back in service i was very happy to know the screen came on with no problems and saved money instead of buying a new psp i also bought a second charger for it for only a dollar!!!

The screen worked perfectly for my PSP 1001. It’s easy to install, however, when you take the devices face plate off be careful not to lose the tiny clear rectangular object that lays beneath the joystick. I made the mistake of losing it and your joystick will not work correctly without it.
