To begin, the gasket is brand new, so it will require you to press a bit the lid. You must adjust the lid and pot correctly so it closes. If you do not know how, check videos online that show you how to close the lid. Some reviews also mention how scary it is the noises that come from it. This is to be expected. I have been using pressure cookers for decades and yes, they are noisy. If you use gas, it will be noisier and you will hear it as if you were hearing an old steam train. If you use electric stoves, the will be like hissing. Either way, they make noises. The most important thing here is that you keep it in low-medium on your stove. This is a pressure cooker. If you put in high heat, the pressure will be extreme, and yes, it will explode. Read your instructions. The last thing I see in the reviews is about the discoloration or change of color. This item is raw aluminum. It will change in color. It is not going to poison your food and it is not going to the change the effectiveness of the product. If you cannot tolerate the change in color, I suggest you to spend a bit more in buying a stainless steel one. Again, I have been using pressure cookers for decades and I do not see how I can live without one. This is a great item. They are lighter than the ones I used to buy 20 or 30 years ago, but they even though they come lighter now, they are still a great item to have to speed the cooking process and preserve the taste, color, and nutrients of the food you are cooking. I bought the really small one of 2 litters too because sometimes I just want to cook for example a couple of beets that everyone in my family hates, and I do not make them because they take too damn long in a regular pot. It works perfectly too. I recommend this product. I have always bought Presto which are great, but I cannot longer afford. They are very expensive, so this item came on sale, and I am not disappointed at all. Excellent buy.

**Q: Does the product come with weight and the gasket the rubber ring??**
A: Yes Chinmayee, This product includes the weight, gasket and rubber ring. If you extra rubber-rings too I can send it to you if you add that in the instructions. This will be useful to you as it is usually difficult to find the rubber rings online as stand alone products.

**Q: Will this work with induction ?  If not, is there some other small model that will work ?**
A: You mean Prestige Induction cooktop?  I've no idea.  We cook on electric stove top.  This works on gas stove as well.  Please check with Prestige or on their website.

**Q: Does this product come with the weight and gasket?**
A: Yes. Weight and gasket included but no vessels inside. Just the cooker.

**Q: I want to know how the whistle works because I got really scared when I tried yesterday for the first time and make that noise?**
A: Looks like you are using it for first time. The whistle would go off letting the steam out when the steam builds in. It is normal. Usually allow 3-4 whistles to cook(veggies for eg). After that keep it aside to cool. Do not attempt to open till the steam cools down. To check if it is cooled, shake the whistle with a spoon or something. If the steam has cooled down, then it would not make any noise. Be careful while checking if its cooled, steam will be super hot.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice little pressure cooker

After using this unit for months, I must say, overall, it's a nice little pressure cooker. If I had to complain: • Advice: When putting the lid on for pressure cooking, lift the pressure release valve, then turn the lid to the locking position. Otherwise, the overzealous seal will make turning the lid difficult - if not impossible. • When I use it to simmer (garlic, onion, or meat), and I rest the lid on top - not lock it - water runs off the lid. Messy! • The new pressure cooker is so nice and shiny! Too bad it does stay that way for very long. It scratches easily. Even washing with a sponge will scratch it. Very weak in this area. Otherwise, it cooks everything perfectly, gets the job done quite nicely. For the price, you can't beat it.
