WEN 10423 3 x 2 x 1-Inch Steel-Hardened Precision 123 Blocks, Two Pack

Should have bought some years ago.

WEN 123 blocks in Metric. I checked both blocks with my millimeter scaled dial calipers. Both blocks read within 2/100 mm on all three axis, and the length was within 1/100 mm which is the accuracy limit of my tool. Very impressive for 24 quid! . Bonus joy: Nearly all 123 blocks on this site have US SAE 3/8 threaded connection holes and the untapped holes are too small for the connecting bolts of the threaded size to pass through rendering them next to useless. ……..NOT SO WITH THESE…..The M10 threaded holes are smaller than the pass through holes allowing M10 bolts to join the blocks as intended…BRILLIANT, THANK YOU WEN! . They arrived tightly packed without room to ‘chink’ off each other. Wrapped in a grease proof paper with some kind of greasy surface preserver. . My only miniscule ‘complaint’ would be the blocks would benefit from a cheap blow moulded or plywood case and an extra couple of quid on the price to cover that would add even more value for money.

Seems to be machined to the right size, but the corner / edge machining is sloppy, which gives an illusion that they're not square.

Great metric blocks. Well packaged and moisture protected. Should come in handy for fabrication accuracy.

I looked at several inexpensive 1-2-3 blocks before settling on these. I know cheap ain't great, but I didn't need great. I could have bought cheaper but these were the only ones that specifically stated they were metric (25x50x75) AND had metric 10mm threadded holes (all the others I looked at stated 3/8 UNC thread). These blocks are true to the description, 100% metric. As for accuracy, I measured the 25mm dimension with a 1" micrometer (Ironic?) at 28 Deg C, and I got 985Thou (25.019mm). I believe, for anyone not prepared to pay 5 times the cost of these, that is good enough. Happy Chappy!

Very useful tool.

Gut verpackt in Ölpapier angekommen, keine Spur von Rost. Erst mal entfettet und mit dem guten Mitutoyo Messchieber kontrolliert, alle Maße 0. Das ist so genau genug für mich. Messung mit Bügelmesschraube folgt, ist für Holzwerken aber egal. Alle Gewinde passen und auch die Durchgangsbohrungen. Das sind 100 Punkte!

Bella gente, il prodotto arriva in scatolina di cartone con stanpato il nome e codice prodotto. All'interno non troverete istruzioni o foglio illustrativo ma solo i due blocchetti incartati con del celofan, in una bustina di plastica...consiglio di munirvi di straccio e petrolio per una bella grassata. Prodotto consigliato per hobbistica.
