For use as the source for a bunch of audio latency measurements, I use CH 2 to generate a 10Hz pulse of 10mS duration, with an amplitude of 12V. Ch 1 generates a 2KHz sine wave with amplitude of 400mV p-k. Channel 2 is directly connected to the AUX in/out on the back panel and the AWG is set to use the AUX input to amplitude modulate Ch 1. The above generates 10 per second pulses of 2KHz that I feed into various line-level audio sources, then, using a microphone connected to a channel of my 4-channel Siglent SDS 1204X-E, I can easily measure the delay (latency) from the 2KHz pulses to the output of the microphone which monitors the sound from a variety of speakers. The AWG outputs also feed two of the oscilloscope channels. This test rig works perfectly and has yielded many measurements that have surprised me - especially when Bluetooth is involved! **Q: what is the lowest possible duty cycle?** A: Depending on the type of signal, for example:For pulse is: Duty Cycle 0.1%Resolution For square: 1μHz ~10MHz 20%~80%, 10.0001MHz~20MHz 40%~60% and 20.0001MHz~25MHz 50% **Q: Does this device have a PC interface?** A: Yes, there is a USB interface and Siglent provides a manual listing the commands to operate the device from a PC. **Q: How could I get a dust cover for this item?** A: Great question! At this time the manufacture does not produce dust covers for any of their units.
