I can’t comment on whether this combo can hold 800 lbs, my bench does not weight that much. I don’t know what it weighs but it is perhaps 350 lbs. The casters and the mounting plates are very convenient as a package. A word of warning, any casters like this will twist your bench as only one leg can be lifted at a time. That said, some people have attached a bar between 2 casters so both can be raised or lowered together. I have not done that but like the idea. In that position, the lever is roughly at a 45 degree angle (ie, not straight up). **Q: What size bolts will fit in the screw holes? I plan to mount the casters on metal legs.** A: Use size #10 (3/16 inch) to fit existing holes. I did't have these screws on hand so I drilled the holes oversize for 1/4 inch. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. **Q: Can the kit be mounted on the inside of the legs? It will be out of the way and give max storage.** A: The closer you mount the lifts to the center of gravity of the table, the more unstable it becomes. The table is most stable when the lifts are mounted on the outside of the narrow dimension. IOW, a 24x60 table will benefit most from mounting the lifts on the 24" axis, giving it about 32" wide stance while on the wheels. **Q: When locked in the lift position, how far off the floor is the lifted item? In inched please.** A: Instructions show 1" between bottom of bracket and bottom of table leg, and then if you look hard enough, you find 3/4" lift in the onscreen text. Mine was different (do one and see if you get the same!): 2" distance from bracket bottom to leg bottom gives zero lift.
