(only live 10 minutes from work) rather disappointing, ive switched to LED, cheaper and seems to be more reliable... Would not reccomended buying this product unless you want to buy another ballast in a few months. Review: Perfect replacement for one Xentec ballast that went bad on ... - Perfect replacement for one Xentec ballast that went bad on my motorcycle. The light circuit kept blowing a fuse. I narrowed the issue down to my low-beam light circuit by unplugging the ballast and noting that my light circuit remained operational. I replaced the old ballast with this one which fixed the issue. This is an exact replacement of my previous part except for the chrome connector on the input wiring bundle; my original was black plastic. ## Features - fully sealed for water proof - ultra light weight, ultra small - high compatibility - DC current - compatible with xentec bulb ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0074FQKDA | | Auto Part Position | Rear | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Brand | Xentec | | Brand Name | Xentec | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 1,131 Reviews | | Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Fit type | Universal Fit | | Included Components | Mounting Hardware | | Included components | Mounting Hardware | | Light Color | 6500K Bright White | | Light Source | Xenon | | Light colour | 6500K Bright White | | Light source type | Xenon | | Manufacturer | Xentec | | Manufacturer Part Number | XT-BALLAST-Slim-20120201 | | Model Number | 8542073950 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Operating Life | 2000 Hours | | UPC | 617237656117 | | Voltage | 12 Volts | | Wattage | 35.00 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Xentec - **Fit type:** Universal Fit - **Included components:** Mounting Hardware - **Light source type:** Xenon - **Wattage:** 35.00 ## Images ![Xentec Slim HID ballast by Xentec - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XH1NDf8OL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: I had a apex hid lighting ballast, & i lost power on one of the ballast, i then ordered the xentec bulbs and ballast kit but it isn’t working?** A: Check your headlight fuses. Some cars or vehicals have one fuse for each side. **Q: ive only had my ballast 2 weeks and one of them quit bc it got wet.. thought this was waterproof. can i get a replacement free of charge?** A: please contact seller for replacement **Q: Will this item fit my 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 zlt71?** A: They should work as long as you get the correct build to fit your headlights. I installed this on my motorcycle and they work fine **Q: Do these work for low and high beam?** A: I'm not sure if I am answering what you are actually asking. I have two vehicles using these ballasts. One has a two light system and uses hi-lo HID bulbs controlled by a relay that changes the position of the bulb in relation to the reflector to give a high beam and a low beam. This system works reasonably well. The other vehicle has a four light system and I use this on the low beams only. I could set up the high beams with HID bulbs but, due to the warm up time of the HID, I feel it is not a good idea. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ Lasted 4 months *by J***S on 23 August 2023* So the ballast lasted around 4 months, with around half an hours use a day.
