I was so excited to try this tea, given that I had read a "BBC" article about the re-discovery of this "lost" American tea. I bought this and had friends over to try it out: all agreed it was a disappointment. It's a pale color (even this black tea that I had bought!), and didn't taste well plain, with added honey, or added sugar. The best comparison that I can give is that it's like cheap, hotel tea. This is not worth the price and in the end I threw it out. I don't often leave bad reviews, but if you are a tea aficionado, this is just not worth it.

I just had my first cup of the Marfa Black Yaupon tea. What a surprise to know that the yaupon trees that grow wild on my property could produce such a flavorful cup of tea. Marfa black tea is very dark in the cup and has a very rich flavor. It is the equal of imported tea.

It tastes good but it's not a whole lot of flavor compared to other black teas. I find myself adding lots of honey to really get any flavor in my tea.

Mild flavor not as robust as most tea

Some teas upset my stomach but this does not. It has a nice taste, flavorful but not too strong.

The only really American tea and it is tasty!
