Practical, Sturdy, and Easy to Use Bedside Commode
Practical, Sturdy, and Easy to Use Bedside Commode The Drive Medical folding bedside commode turned out to be a great balance of durability, convenience, and affordability. Setup was straightforward—snapping on the seat and lid took just minutes, and adjusting the height with the push pins was equally simple. The foldable frame is a smart touch, since it makes storage and transport much easier than bulkier fixed commodes. The steel frame feels very stable, and it easily supports weight up to the stated 350 lbs. The included bucket has a handle and cover, which makes emptying and cleaning manageable. For added convenience, it can also be used directly over a standard toilet, so it doubles as a raised seat with arms when needed. Comfort-wise, the seat is serviceable. It’s not padded, so extended sitting isn’t ideal, but for short-term use—especially post-surgery or for nighttime convenience—it works well. The armrests provide solid support for getting up and down, and the overall design feels safe and reliable. A couple of points to keep in mind: the seat dimensions may feel a bit narrow for larger users, and while the build quality is good, some of the plastic parts aren’t as heavy-duty as the steel frame. Adding disposable commode liners makes cleanup even easier and helps with odor control. Bottom line: A sturdy, versatile, and budget-friendly bedside commode that folds for storage, adjusts easily, and provides dependable support. Great choice for recovery, elderly care, or as a backup option for added safety at home.

Very functional
Good quality, stable, easy to clean with a handle to carry the pot. My only problem is that I am a bit too wide for it but it is still functional. I don't use it very often. Light weight

Simple and Practical
The Drive Medical Folding Steel Portable Commode has received mostly positive reviews. Users highlight that it is easy to assemble, lightweight, and practical, making it ideal for people with limited mobility, post-surgery recovery, or temporary home use. It includes a bucket with a lid, which helps maintain hygiene and makes cleaning easier. Its foldable design allows for convenient storage and transport. As a downside, some users mention it is not the most sturdy option and may feel unstable when used near the maximum weight limit. Overall, it is a functional and affordable solution for basic mobility needs.

Overall good product, but the seat is skimpy.
I bought this to use after hip replacement to put over the toilet. It's sturdy and adjustable, and the arms help you feel safe getting up and down. My only complaint is that the seat is round and a little skimpy, making it feel unsteady and digs into your thighs. I'm only 120lbs so can't imagine a larger person being comfortable with this seat. Spend a few dollars more for the model with the oval-shaped, more substantial seat. My elderly parents had one like that and it was well worth it.

Sturdy and fills a need
Easy to assemble, I didn't need extra tools. This is sturdy enough to hold an adult, and, more importantly, provide some dignity to people who can't get to the normal bathroom. At this time, I'm taking care of an adult with a broken hip and the bathroom door widths are about 6 inches narrower than the bedroom doors and all other access in the house and the walker and the rollator do not fit into the bathrooms which means the adult cannot get into the bathroom at this time. This gives them a place to take care of needs without needing other people to help them. For a reasonable price, life is much better all around.

Sturdy and easy to assemble
Works well and is easy to put in place from bathroom to bathroom. Sturdy build. Only thing is it is steel and is heavier than an aluminum one. The seat flexes under any weight.
