Really Nice
I have 17 other micro:bit 2WD robots. This is one of my favorites. My students really like this one as well. The tutorial could use a little improvement, but that’s part of the fun to have the students figure out different documentation. This one comes with many Python examples in the tutorial. More then most.

It’s a micro bit!
Kit is great and comes with all the parts needed except for batteries. This is a great teaching tool for my students. Minus one star because once assembled, the case doesn’t close.

Very cool gift for the nerdy boyfriend
My boyfriend needed a hobby over the holidays. I got him this and he was excited. This does not come with the battery, so make sure to get that too or else you can't really start without it. This kept him busy for a few hours but he's very happy with it.

Awesome concept but plug for onboard charger broke on first use
Love this but the on board charger broke the first time I plugged in in is there any way to reattach it?

Great features with lots of support
I've been using the BBC micro:bit for a few years now and have found this to be the most capable robot featuring the micro:bit so far. You'll need to buy yourself an 18650 rechargeable battery but they're cheap and easy to get hold of. The micro:rover takes care of charging and has a battery level indicator as well as a whole host of sensors, a buzzer and 12 LEDs. I was also surprised to find how much help was available from Freenove online with PDFs manuals available for Microsoft MakeCode and Python coding. You can also download videos showing each of the sketches in the manual running on the micro:rover. The micro:rover is great value for money since the BBC micro:rover is included in the price too.

Great device, but some build quality and robustness issues
I bought this for my son for Xmas. He's loving it and getting a lot of learning and enjoyment out of getting it to do some of the tasks.There have been some quality issues. When we tried it, one of the motors didn't work. I noticed that it had a dry solder connection from the board to the motor, which I was able to repair. I'm disappointed that this was not picked up as a final quality check. The connector from the MicroBit to the Rover is quite flimsy and we've managed to break it already. My son was heart-broken so we've just received a replacement I bought for him as an additional purchase (which confusingly, came in a differently coloured box!). We've tried running some of the programs from the old bug on this one, but there seems to be an issue that we're still getting to the bottom of.All in all, when it is working, it's a great educational piece of kit. Currently, it is giving my son a lesson in debugging to determine if the error is in code or hardware - which is a great life lesson for a budding engineer.

Programmi forniti non funzionano come promesso
The media could not be loaded. Mi riferisco, in particolare, a Obstacol Avoidance (1 e 2) e Line Tracking. I primi due, sono l'implementazione del classico rover explorer: appena si avvicina all'ostacolo il rover cambia direzione per evitarlo; invece, non funziona nella maggioranza dei casi: "si intestardisce" sull'ostacolo (esempio mobile o muro) , quando lo trova sul lato sinistro, e non riesce a tornare indietro. Il secondo programma che non funziona è quello che insegue un percorso nero, fornito già stampato su un foglio nella confezione: il rover rimane fermo, e non segue alcuna linea, così come "promesso" nel video incluso nella cartella del progetto. I sensori sembrano non funzionare correttamente, non discriminano il nero dal bianco. Una grande delusione. Se non riceverò risposte valide dal supporto sarò costretto a renderlo grazie all'eccellente servizio post vendita di Amazon.AGGIORNAMENTO: il venditore ha prontamente risposto, indicandomi di regolare un piccolo trimmer (sensibilità dei sensori) ma non c'è stato alcun verso. Ho chiesto il rimborso.

Kit de iniciación a la robótica genial.
Es un kit genial y viene prácticamente completo, sólo le falta la batería.Incluye la placa micro:bit que por si sola ya es una gran placa para iniciarse a proyectos de electrónica debido a la cantidad de sensores que lleva y además incluye el propio robot ya montado, sólo hay que poner en su sitio el micro:bit y el sensor de ultrasonido.Se puede programar tanto desde pc como desde tablet, solo añadiendo la librería propia del rover de freenove ya tienes acceso a todos los extras que trae (sensores siguelineas, de luz, motores, leds, ...)Mi hijo de 9 años le ha pillado el punto en seguida y se entretiene mucho programándolo.Por su parte también un 10 para freenove, ya que está todo perfectamente documentado (en inglés eso sí) y viene con ejemplos de como hacer de todo con el robot. Además lleva un pequeño circuito negro para poder probar el siguelíneas.

Freenove microRover es un robot pensado como complemento perfecto para aprender a programar robots con micro:bitViene casi completamente montado, a falta de conectar el sensor de ultrasonido y añadir una batería 18650 (que no viene incluida). También incluye un tapete de papel que nos sirve como circuito para el siguelíneasLa documentación es excelente y está disponible en su página web y en githubPodemos controlar el robot con una aplicación Android o para iOSTambién podemos programarlo usando el entorno de bloques Makecode sin más que añadir la correspondiente extensión de Freenove para el microroverSi lo que queremos es programarlo usando python podemos hacerlo usando los ejemplos incluidosTambién podemos hacer proyectos aún más complejos (tanto con bloques como con python) con la documentación incluida en su página de proyectos extendidos, pero en este caso tendremos que incluir componentes que no están en el kit, como una pantalla LCD i2CEn definitiva se trata de un robot muy versátil y que nos permite trabajar diferentes niveles de programación, pudiendo adaptarse a los más pequeños, usando el control desde el móvil, a un nivel de programación inicial usando programación con bloques o a un nivel más avanzado usando python y accediendo a retos más complejos.
