Threw It OUT
I bought this because it had good comments about picky eaters. Well, my dog would not eat this dog food, there was not a thing I could do to get him to eat it. One taste and that was it. I tried mixing it with other food, but he kept rejecting it. For a premium dog food it had no appeal to my dog, even though I know he likes some of the ingredients individually such as beef. Maybe it's the taste of pumpkin, beets, blueberries, broccoli, and carrots, among the many ingredients, that turns him off. Anyway, I would not get this again,

Best for my allergic dogs
I love this food, better still, my dogs love this food, I make their food, it is really expensive and pretty tough making it in 45 lb lots, so this at least can extend my dog food making for maybe an extra 3 days, they are not itching from it.I have used the Orijen Tundra freeze-dried also, it is also good, but this company seems like the product smells more like meat when re-ydrated.

Nature's Advantage Tasty Turkey Dinner Dog Food - Freeze-Dried - All Natural Dog Food
I liked the idea of a freeze dried food for my dogs, takes up less space then normal dog food.My dogs would not eat or even try the food. I broke these little disks up, that was a no go, next added water, and a no go, maybe it was the smell. Not appealing at all.

FINALLY...something my dog loves.
I have a picky eater and we have been trying to find a healthy dog food she would actually eat and enjoy. She went nuts for this food. Yes it is a little pricy but for us this is a real win!

Long Time Raw Feeder - My Dog Loved It
I got this for my dog who has been fed raw her whole life so far (7 years) My dog LOVED it! It smells like what I would expect raw meat to smell like once rehydrated, It looks meaty and when juices flow it's pink like you would expect. I do not get that from other freeze dried raw like I do here and I like that. In the photo you can see I added a little extra water. If I let it sit longer I think all that water would be absorbed. I would suggest breaking this up before adding water because otherwise it takes forever for the water to get to the center. The only question I had is that I do not see bone listed on the ingredients and usually raw food must include bone or have added calcium. I would like to have this listed. I did rehydrate just one patty and I felt around and I could feel hard lumps that to me must be bone. They largest one I felt was maybe the size and shape of a small bean. I could also hear my dog crunching it when she ate. I'd also like to know the percent of meat/bone to produce. I'm guessing from the look it's primarily meat and organ, but I'd like to have that included on the package. So far my dog loves this with no digestive issues. I think she likes it better than what we are currently feeding (stella and chewy's) My dog is a 17lb Westie and that weight range was not really covered in the instructions for feeding so I gave her 3 patties for breakfast. She eats twice a day. do like that it lists the calories per patty so if you know how many calories your dog eats you can figure it that way.I'm pretty picky about pet food and this food passes the test for me. I think we will purchase again after I get the question about the bone answered, but will probably buy the morsels because the smaller pieces will be easier to rehydrate. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Portable raw food item that all 3 furboys LOVED! Great for the 2 seniors, too...
I’ve never dealt with freeze dried raw dog food before & these are simple to handle since they’re in large patty form. When I first opened the bag, all 3 dogs came swarming! The bag is - - fragrant, to say the least. I can definitely make out the beef/liver/kidney scent. I broke 1 into 3 pieces for them to try & they all gobbled it up just fine. There’s 2 seniors here (14 & 15 yrs old) & a 5 yr old granddog right now, so I will crumble up as a topper on their breakfast & add hot water. One old boy has been preferring softer food lately, so this will be a good add-on.This bag is pricey, but it’s a case of getting what you pay for. The ingredients are all identifiable & pronounceable & quality.I wouldn’t use these as a meal for my furboys, but I see their value when traveling or camping or anywhere you want raw but easy-to-manage food. For people who already feed a raw diet, this would be a splurge for portability. For others, like myself, it can be a quality treat & meal topper. And the doggies love it!+++UPDATE+++ I've been adding 1 to their breakfasts for nearly a week now - I cut/crumble it up, add hot water, & mix with their regular food. They have never eaten with such gusto before! Even the picky eater licks every speck up. And, at nearly 16 yrs old, it's great to see him enjoy his food!**THANK YOU for reading this Review & I hope that it’s Helpful!**

Great for regular feeding, long-term storage, or to take the dogs on a hike ...
I definitely love the freeze-dried concept in dog food. It’s nothing new to me as I have some Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food in my long-term storage. This Beef Burger Dinner can be repackaged in Mylar bags for long-term storage, be taken on hikes, or for everyday use. I’m not going to substitute it or use it as a meal replacement for Storm or Weezer, but use the Burgers for special treats.Needless to say, both dogs really loved them and I love them as well. I’m rather picky as to what I feed them and monitor ingredient labels. This limited ingredient label has nothing I object to and has a nice mix of meat, fruit, veggies, and fish oil. These are soft enough to be broken up or used as is. Because they are freeze-dried, I wiped down the counter with a disinfectant wipe after pouring them out. Nothing I don’t love about these Burgers!INGREIENTS:Beef, beef liver, beef kidney, pumpkin, beets, blueberries, broccoli, carrots, herring oil, mixed tocopherols (preservative), manganese proteinate, zinc proteinate, vitamin E supplement.GUARANTEED ANALYSIS:Crude Protein (min): 37%Crude Fat (min): 26%Crude Fiber (max): 6.5%Moisture (max): 8.0%
