Great winch,
This is a good company that makes long lasting products. The corporate help at Warn is top notch especially for issues. I love this winch and it is a great option for retro vehicles as it has the correct looks and capabilities.

Great choice for a Wrangler Unlimited-sized rig
I spent my day off installing the XD9000i, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. I drive a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited, so an M8000 would have been a little too close to the lower end of recommended winch sizes; with a full load of gear and a passenger or two, the XD9000i is the sweet spot for this kind of rig.It dropped right in to my ARB stubby bumper with about a half-inch to spare on the left side; you wouldn’t be able to fit a 9.5xp or 9.5cti, but this fit perfectly. The first thing I did was unspool the 125’ of wire rope that came with it, and replaced it with 100’ of 3/8” Spydura for the weight savings and safety benefits. 100’ is the right size to use for 3/8”; you may be able to fit a little more on the drum, but you’d be likely to encounter binding on off-angle pulls.Installation was straightforward, once I realized that Warn doesn’t include square nuts just because they want to, they’re integral to the installation! I did use 3/8” Grade 8 bolts instead of the supplied Grade 5 zinc ones.

Its a WARN
An awesome winch! You cant go wrong with a Warn classic. I bought this winch back in 2008 and it has been a solid performer on my 1/2 ton truck. I have since then a few years ago ordered a rebuild kit through Warn Industries, seals, break etc. an easy thing to do. I've also placed 100 feet of synthetic line on it. I'm confident that I'll get several more years out of it.

Solid performer. Trust it with my life and its never let me down.
This Warn XD9000i has served me well. Its been riding on the front of my TJ crawler for 6 years now and has never let me down. The motor is strong and the clutch engages perfectly every time. I am running it off a YellowTop with the stock cable and have never had an issue with it, however, I want to put a synthetic line on it and shave off some steal wight.
