Is this ball for outdoor play?

1. This is the best basketball ball that can be bought 2. It is designed for indoor use. 3 it can be used outside but the life of the ball will be shortened considerably depending on the outdoor surface. 4. If used indoors only this ball will last years. 5. DO NOT USE OUTDOORS!!! 6. Be smart and buy a cheap ball for outdoor use.

Can this be played outdoor?

Yes, but it would be a crime like another reviewer said. To answer another way, Could you weld a hitch a Ferrari F4 and use it to pull a trailer full of trash to the landfill? ....sure. Could you also drive it around Minnesota during the dead of winter to take the kids to school? ....sure. But it would be the worst use for such a beautiful piece of machinery and a complete waste if hard earned cash.....okay it would be incredibly foolish. If you need an outoor ball, spend the SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY and buy THREE of the $20 synthetic balls DESIGNED FOR OUTDOOR USE and you will have years of use and be able to supply two extra balls for the shoot around before the game.
