How does the smart watering featuring obtain the weather conditions? What service does it use?

I wouldn't even use this option. When my water utility company installed this, smart watering was turned on. It was September. In October, I noticed plants were dying. When I checked the schedule, smart watering showed NO watering for the next 2 months. This is Southern California. What historical weather records are you checking to determine I'll be getting continuous rain here for the next 2 months?

I know i can use my phone for this but can i also connect with my pc?

Can I turn on a zone for 1 minute using the app to see if a head needs adjustment or repair?

yes, you can run every zone individually from 1 min to 240 min using the test function found under the zone selection. i have used the function many times myself for the same reason, test, setting up the heads etc...
