personally this company had the best price $XXX, but I use this as a mosquito repellent, the pump portion is made well you can squeeze it without difficulty, the wood panel is a thin piece so don't get it wet or just make sure it is kept dry, the metal is durable I dropped it and it didn't break on first drop, which is great cause this was it was made in china, I have put charcoal and it was good it did not flame up it produced smoke against mosquitoes I have put real smokers pellets and other things , I like this, I just the vendor can keep the price low, I guess it is good for smoking bees but as the instructions say, make sure you use appropriate smokers so as not to contaminate the honey

This hive smoker just works. it's simple and reliable, and for the price, I'm not too worried should I have to replace it after wearing through the bellows. One note for those that may not know, but you need to reach inside the smoker when you receive it and pull out the metal disk at the bottom of the smoker. Once you do that, you want to bend out each of the little prongs into table legs and put this back into the smoker chamber with the legs down towards the bottom. This elevates the fuel up off the bottom and allows for air exchange. Easy enough to miss this detail if you're not aware of it. Happy smoking!

Works great, easy to get lit and say lit. Burns through material quickly often leaving us to add sticks as we work our bees. Lid fits great but is a little flimsy.

I had a smoker and it broke. This one feels way sturdier than my other one. Good quality, works as it should. I would recommend.

About half the price of the same item bought locally. I loaded it with dry pine needles and cones. It lit easily with a long-stemmed lighter and stayed at a good cold smolder until nothing but ash was left. Lots of smoke. The product is extremely well built for the price. The bellows looks and feels very durable. Great little smoker!
