North States - Two-Way Squirrel Baffle: Squirrel Guard for Bird Feeders; Protects Hanging or Pole Mounted Birdfeeders - Gray

I was having an issue with squirrels getting onto my black oil sunflower feeder, which is attached to my deck. I decided to try out this baffle to see if it would keep the squirrels away. The baffle came with instructions and required no assembly. It was super easy to set up. I love the hard plastic material too! I am happy to report that the baffle was effective and has kept the squirrels off of my feeder! This was a great value for my money and I plan on purchasing more! This would probably work for raccoons too, but I haven't had a problem with raccoons getting into this feeder.

We mounted this on a pole beneath our bird feeder and it does the job of keeping the squirrels out. We set it up far enough from chairs, fences, etc. that the squirrels can't jump onto the feeder.

These have worked well for their purpose overall, but they also fell victim to the squirrels incessant chewing as this is just plastic in the end and not the most durable material. The pole mount underneath one has been mostly chewed away, so the baffle sits sideways and barely has enough material left to hold it up. It still works, but can trigger those prone to OCD with being skewed. Although fairly large and unstable (a desired trait), I have still seen squirrels able to get on top of this thing and get to their free meal. Maybe a sharper curve would help throw them off better.

Love these baffles to keep varmints from getting to the bird feeders (from the ground and tree branches). Large enough to protect from rain/snow also. Very sturdy. Wish they were still available as I would buy more.

I received one of these a couple days ago and had to order a second one. The squirrels have been a nightmare climbing my shepherd's hook and eating all the seed from my feeders. Nothing worked. I got this baffle and used the hook that came with it - put the top of the hook on the shepherd's hook and used the bottom hook for the bird feeder. Amazing... this moves the minute a squirrel tries to put weight on it and the go right to the ground. As I watch the feeders from my bedroom window, the squirrel efforts are diminishing, the birds are happy and my bird seed is lasting a lot longer. Thank you for finally coming up with a solution that works.

This is the second purchase for me. I was very happy with the first one and needed another, so I purchased the same one again. There are two different ways to use this: on a pole or with a hanging feeder. I use the hanging feeder in both cases as I have a lot of trees in my yard. I really like this baffle because it does, indeed, keep the squirrels away and it protects my feeders/bird seed from the elements. I like the appearance (black) as it blends in nicely with my yard. Really, there is no assembly other than taking the hook and screw out and putting it in the proper place. It's easy to clean with some warm water should the birds decide to get it messy. This baffle is nice and thick, very stable on a windy day. I like that the baffle is more of a bowl shape rather than dish shaped. I think it protects the feeder better from inclement weather. I hope it holds up during the winter/snow. I'm happy with my purchase, as I think the birds are too!

They work well but will break if out in the sun after a year or so.

Excellent quality, better than all the others I tried. Wide, hard rubber, no assembly of 'panels', one integral unit. I want more, but now find it unavailable. Why?

Great big baffle, to keep the feeder dry and mostly squirrel proof but the are sneaky but it has helped keeping them away but there is always one that gets around it just the way it is, easy to put up , so I am happy with this product.

We have numerous feeding stations. This is the second one that I have purchased and is certainly more effective than other types we have tried . This good-size baffle sits on rounded support base which tilts easily . If your feeder is hanging close to the baffle , squirrels are unable to hang from the unit and swing onto the feeder.

Excellent quality......my only concern is that the birds have not returned yet....perhaps because it is a solid black colour and the birds cannot see the feeder through it?

I just ordered up my second of these. The first has been in use for 10 years plus, about 9 months a year in the elements, and it looks almost new. It is so impressive that it still holds its colour, and has not bleached out as you might expect. The shade is a charcoal~y black, and nicely blends into the surroundings. That is it convertible from pole mount to hanging is a plus. And at its price point, I find it to be a very good value. Baffle your neighbourhood Squirrels today!

Works! See the video lol... first time I saw one do more than just touch it to see it was too slippery for them, this guy actually took a dive.
