Lux Minute Minder Timer Mechanical

This is about the 5th or 6th time I've purchased this timer. It's so easy to set, works great, and lasts a long time. (I use a timer for almost every thing I do, so they do wear out.) I have one in every room of my house.

Great timer - portable, clear ring when time's up, and easy to use.

Besides the fact that the little bell “dings” two or three before it’s supposed to and that the time continues counting down after it reaches zero, it’s a fine device. However, if you want something that actually tells you when a specified time is up, this isn’t the “timer” for you. Super irritated.

Works well. Reminds me of the old timer my mom used to have. However, be prepared for a really loud ring! Darn near had heart failure the first time, and I still am startled when it goes off. The only downside is that if I'm not nearby, I might miss the ring as it only rings for about 5 seconds. Previous timer kept ringing until I turned it off, which is good to have if I'm not in the kitchen.

I remember my mother having one of these when I was a kid and she kept using it for many years. I saw this and wanted one of my own, it makes me happy to have this in my kitchen and classroom. I use this daily in my homeschool classroom to keep track of breaks and in my kitchen to time my baking and other things I may be cooking. I have enjoyed using this timer and it is wonderful, very accurate, and loud enough to hear over household noise. I highly recommend it.

This timer may strike you as old fashioned, but it completely fits my needs. I work in a back room office and I use this timer to keep my meals from burning on the stove and pots from boiling over. I also use it to alert me to the end of auctions on Ebay.

Not well made but will work. Mine is slightly off on the 0 when it goes to off at 0 and the bell rings. So you have to work with it a little. Might move up to a better quality one. And if you have an old one please hang onto it. All the older stuff is built better than the new stuff.

So, I had a Lux timer for MANY years and then the dinger stopped dinging. After looking at lots of other timers on Amazon and reading the negative comments about the Lux timer, I decided to order it anyway.To be perfectly honest, I don't notice any difference between my old timer and my new one. It might be a little bit smaller, but that's ok. It works as good as my old timer. I am a very happy customer. No complaints whatsoever.

This timer was purchased to replace my wonderful orange 1950s LUX timer that had finally failed after decades of daily use. Like the old one, the new timer has a nice long, loud ring.

Le model est le meme que ceux qui etait disponible il y a 15 ans ! Mais le plastic est fragile ainsi que l'horloge. La qualite est mediocre. Le dos est ouvert sans partie de plastique qui couvre l horloge.A ce prix c est decevant !!!

It doesn't even have a back on it to protect it. It's not that cheap for being junky. I wish things were as well-made as they used to be but they're not and there's nothing we can do about it. That said, I guess it tells time.
