How much area will one bottle cover?

I went and got my bottle to read the instructions; it says it will do 600 sq. ft. for three (3) weekly feedings, or a total of 1800 sq. ft. Usually you have a few patches of new grass, so a bottle or maybe two will take care of you.

I have a dog , is this safer than granules and how long before the dog can walk on area sprayed?.

Oscar, Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass Ready-Spray, 32 oz. We recommend pets to stay out of treated area until dry. For the granules we recommend to water in and wait until dry for pets to reenter as well.

I had sod installed and it has brown spots. Should I use this by itself?

Not really. This is for new grass and sod is pretty established. If you are in the middle of a drought....meaning high temps and no rain...I would put 4oz of dish soap into a hose end sprayer and add some soda that has sugar. Always brings it back for me. Not diet though. If you are having rain and temps aren't over 80....I'd go with ammonia in a hose end sprayer and it will give it more nitrogen than this product. Right now most fertilzers are just going to dry out your grass and kill it. Milorganite in pellet form would be a safe alternative if you can water it in completely with a sprinkler for 30 minutes.

Will this burn the grass in summer heat?

It won't burn the grass just make sure you do it with alot of water afterwards.keep the grass seeds moist. Even better get some straw to cover the seeds. It will keep them moist. We use this.......... EZ-Straw Seeding Mulch with Tack - Biodegradable Organic Processed Straw – 2.5 CU FT Bale (covers up to 500 sq. ft.). we get it on amazon. It is better to wait until the end of September the beginning of Oct. Good luck

Effective product!

This product is AMAZING! I have to write the 5-star review for it! The corner spots outside and inside my fence are under heavy tree shade with a very bare surface and poor soil condition. I worked so hard and finally got some grasses to germinate and then they just stayed in the shape of baby grasses like forever. After being treated with this Starter Lawn food I could feel the baby grasses are growing and leaves are getting longer! Btw, my cat showed me after the ground was fully dried it’s safe for pets. I don’t know why he loves that spot a lot recently.
