Update: ended up very useful
They're cute and colorful, very easy to attach to things, and the chime sound is very gentle and pretty, so I do think it's worth a try...your baby might just love them! They didn't get that much use at first with 4 month old little boy, but ended up pretty useful. We used them with our second child too.Over the first year or two, we attached these to the handle of the car seat, and the tray table of the stroller. Our little one played with them pretty often, and BONUS having them there made it easier to attach other toys closer sometimes. I definitely liked having them around, and even replaced them once when they were lost while traveling. Also, since the car seat's rear facing, and the baby napped hidden away under the stroller cover, hearing the chimes was sometimes a good indicator that baby was still awake/had woken up, cause you could hear him playing with the chime toys. And, equally importantly, they weren't really loud/disruptive enough to wake the baby even if jostled into sound while he was asleep though, so that was handy. In case you're curious for other recommendations, my baby really loved this tiny Taggies Monkey Rattle attached to a stroller strap [http://www.amazon.com/Taggies-Dazzle-Dots-Rattle-Monkey/dp/B00AJF7OZ0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1403813270&sr=8-3&keywords=taggies+monkey AND http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Buddy-Secure-A-Toy-Navy-Blue/dp/B003Y3BH1G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1403813279&sr=8-2&keywords=stroller+buddy]

Great sound
These are great. The chime sound is lovely and my 3 month old loves to watch them while riding in the car. There is a slightly different chime sounds for each toy. The little one doesn’t grab at them yet so no idea how they hold up to pulling and mouthing but I recommend them for a soothing distraction if your infant hates the car seat like mine.

VERY USEFUL - not only as child entertainment but also as holders for carseat straps!!
I bought these before my baby arrived and I thought they would be great entertainment for when she was in her carseat (a Chicco KeyFit). Little did I know just HOW USEFUL THESE THINGS ARE!!! They're great because the string on them is strong enough to hold the seatbelt straps in a carseat to the side ahead of placing your baby in the carseat. This has been BY FAR the most useful feature. My baby also loves watching and batting them when she's in the carseat. The only negative drawback is that the hanger on them with the velcro is quite long and wide, so they always slide down on the carseat handle. You could probably shorten them if you wanted them to "stay in place" by stitching a fold, but I have not done so myself. The fact that they slide I have just let go since I use them mostly on the low sides to secure the carseat straps, as I stated above. The noise the rattle makes is also very soft and pleasing, I do not find it to be disturbing at all.

Love these!
Love these!!! Soft chime that isn’t annoying. Had to get some more for my baby as my toddler won’t part with hers but doesn’t care about her other baby toys. I think it’s funny that some comments say the Velcro isn’t strong enough and others say it scratched their baby. If it’s a stronger Velcro it will scratch more, if it is a softer Velcro it’s not going to stick together well. I think they did just fine finding the right balance with the Velcro.

Great, baby likes, but Velcro doesn't stand up
My 2 month old loves to look at these and likes the chime. They are a simple and excellent toy. The only issue is that the Velcro is pretty flimsy and they might require a it of retrofitting, depending on the place you want to hang them. There is no way to adjust the tightness of the Velcro attachment loop, so it slides. I sewed on more Velcro so that I could get a tighter fit and now the toy is pretty good. I think it should be easy to use upon arrival and not need extra prep to get it to work correctly, especially for the price.

Bright fun and cute
Bright fun and cute. I wanted them primarily for the carseat but I'm using them for many places because they're lightweight and easy to take on and off. I put it on the mobile above the swing to make it a little more interesting, on his bouncer, his play mat or just dangle it in front of him. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the little bells inside could be louder.

Turned out useless; did not entertain the baby
I wanted to hang these on the stroller's handle that my baby kicks all the time - as an added entertainment, I wanted her to hear chimes whenever she kicks. However, the velcro doesn't hold and they keep moving. Even when I put them on the carseat handle, they would just slide down to the side and I have to hold them in place so my baby can see them.

mom and baby love
mom loves the chimes - somewhat like the sound of those asian "relaxation" balls you're supposed to jingle in one hand to relieve stress. very soothing.baby loves to bat at, yank on, and jiggle the frog & duck - he's nearly 10 months now and is STILL entertained by these.as an added bonus - on longer trips, these chimes alert me to the fact that my baby is no longer napping - he always takes a good swat or two at them within minutes of waking up, so i have time to plan a rest stop before he gets fussy (i.e., starts screaming).
