Good buy
Works better than expected

clever
very clever and useful design. relatively quiet fan with great control of fan speed and direction of air flow. i cannot speak to durability - but the two fans i purchased certainly feel (and sound) like they are good quality. certainly better than expected. and perfect for the project i have in mind. definitely recommend.

Fan good. Cord/switch is a fire hazard.
The Fan: So far so good. It has maybe 72hrs on it so far recirculating 65C air. I worry about the electronics... but so far it's holding up well. It does not move as much air as some other models, but I knew that when I bought it. For my use, it's plenty good enough. The cord: Throw it away. Or fix it. The switch on this cord is a fire hazard. The wire is poorly crimped and I was able to pull the wire out of the contacts inside the switch. The switch makes kind of intermittent contact when in the ON position... which creates a high resistivity connection... which makes heat... which melted part of the switch. Thankfully I was in the room when the device turned off spontaneously to diagnose why and noticed that the switch was hot. DO NOT USE THIS SWITCH. Or do. It's your choice and I'm not your mom.

Removes hot air from behind refrigerator
I have a large Samsung 30cf refrigerator in a built in in area with only 1/4" clearance on the sides and 1" clearance on the top available for ventilation. This was generating a lot of heat in the 8" area between the back wall and refrigerator. I mounted this horizontally under the cabinet by the back wall and top of refrigerator and and even running at about 7 volts it quietly exhausts plenty of hot air and keeps the compressor area cool. I am hoping a cooler compressor area will result in longer compressor life, time will tell. Update 08/20/23 No issues whatsoever still silent and working great Update 11/11/23 Still running great Update 3/16/24 No issues whatsoever Update 5/12/24 Over a year still running great Update 10/5/24 Still running great Update 10/9/25 Still running great Update 1/3/26 Still running strong

Much quieter than expected.
Was much quieter than I expected (which is great) since this is going into a retail display. Came with mounting hardware and seem very well made. Was surprised at how much air it moved so meets our needs perfectly. Came well packaged and am running it with an eight double A batter pack so no external power needed.

Good Fan - But Has Hardware Shortcomings Manufacturer Should Correct
This is a high quality fan. I am trying this style and another style to exhaust the warm air from my closed in shelf / 3-sided-box in a walk-in closet that I use as my wiring closet for Wi-Fi, home network, NAS and security video recorder. It is a solid fan but has three hardware shortcomings that the manufacturer should be correcting: 1) the screw holes on the 'back' side of the fan intended to mount the grill are NOT COUNTERSUNK despite the provided screws being intended for countersunk holes. It is ironic that the holes right next to them to mount this fan in a chassis are countersunk. 2) There are only two screws provided (although the instruction sheet says four), so it is presumed they are for the grill. That said, those screws are too long and project beyond the grill in what could be a dangerous length to catch skin depending on where the fan is mounted. So, I just took some simple SHEET METAL SCREWS I had on hand and screwed the grill directly to the housing. 3) Numerous buyers rightly complain that the thin wiring to the fan has no strain relief and could be torn free, particularly in the applications where it says this could be a blower for a BBQ or fireplace. I SOLVED that by applying a self-adhesive wire dressing clips I had on hand plus a the twist tie that was on the fan's cord. Looking forward to finding the right combination of (variable) fan speed and noise to exhaust the desired amount of heat.

ABSOLUTE JUNK after 31 days
It worked for 31 days and then magically shut off right after the return window closed. It’s a stupid fan. How can a stupid fan not simply spin. It’s the simplest job in the world. How can this company manufacture a product that won’t literally go around in circles with no more complex movements or requirements than that? Seriously this is a pathetic waste of natural resources.

Great cooling fan for solar chargers. combined with the temperature monitoring to kick in at 32C and cool it down to 26C, works like a charm and has a very good air flow.
