## Description

Product description 100% Compatibility with Official Arduino Software, Sensors and Codes Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board. For the reason of open source, the manufacture of Arduino boards and software distribution by anyone is permitted. Arduino boards are available commercially in preassembled form, or as do-it-yourself (DIY) kits. Elegoo is one of the manufacturer on the market, whose clone products are 100% compatible with the official Arduino microcontroller boards, they can use the official Arduino software, sensors and codes. 74HC595 Shift Register and LEDs 74HC595 is a Serial to Parallel Converter which has eight outputs (perfect) and three inputs that you use to feed data into it a bit at a time. This chip makes it a little slower to drive the LEDs (you can only change the LEDs about 500,000 times a second instead of 8,000,000 a second) but it's still really fast, way faster than humans can detect, so it's worth it. 74HC595 shift register is a type of chip that holds what can be thought of as eight memory locations, each of which can either be a 1 or a 0. To set each of these values on or off, we feed in the data using the 'Data' and 'Clock' pins of the chip. Active and passive buzzer The difference between the active buzzer and passive buzzer is that an active buzzer has a built-in oscillating source, so it will generate a sound when electrified. A passive buzzer does not have such a source so it will not tweet if DC signals are used; instead, you need to use square waves whose frequency is between 2K and 5K to drive it. The active buzzer is often more expensive than the passive one because of multiple built-in oscillating circuits. Tilt ball switch Tilt sensors allow you to detect orientation or inclination. They are usually made up of a cavity of some sort with a non-conductive mass inside, such as a blob of mercury or rolling ball. One end of the cavity has two conductive elements (poles). When the sensor is oriented so that that end is downwards, the mass rolls onto the poles and shorts them, acting as a switch throw. Learn Electronics and Programming with Arduino The Arduino boards can be used as the brains behind almost any electronics project. Arduino can interact with buttons, LEDs, motors, speakers, GPS units, cameras, the internet, and even your smart-phone or your TV! By connecting the Arduino board with a personal computer via a USB cable and uploading programs to the board, users can create digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control objects in the physical and digital world like robots or even honest fortune-telling machines. For this Elegoo Super Starter Kit, we provide a 10-lesson tutorial, introducing the basic setting of the Arduino software IDE, the working principles of the sensors and the simple program to enable the UNO board to control the sensors. This Kit is suitable for 10-year-old and up. Younger kids should be under supervision and guidance of adults.

Review: Good Kit, With Minor Issues - I got the kit as my first experiment with Arduino. I've got some experience with micro:bit and Raspberry Pi, so I wasn't new to electronics kits, but this was my first foray into the Arduino world. As an aside, I prefer micro:bit because it is dirt simple for middle school students, but I'll review this based on its merits as an Arduino kit. The Arduino board worked flawlessly for me. It integrated with the Arduino IDE with no issues. The connectors seemed to be good quality- I had no issues with them. The breadboard connections seemed a little looser than others that I've used, but they were fine functionally for the projects I did. I worked through all of the projects in the zip file that I downloaded. I was able to complete them all successfully, and was able to use the IDE to make some improvements to the sample code. There is a superabundance of resistors in the kit - 120 resistors in seven different sizes. The samples only used ten resistors total, and eight of them were 220 Ohm. There also more LEDs than needed for the samples, so you can feel free to blow a couple up if you forget the resistors. Aside from the that, the kit included a nice variety of simple components, along with a photoresistor that wasn't used in the samples as far as I could see. The variety of the samples was sparse (I could only find 8), but a curious experimenter could have some fun trying to mix and match techniques based on the samples. However, for kids, more samples would have been nice. The documentation suffers from being written by folks who are not native English speakers, but it is not as bad as other kits I've used. I'm used to documentation like that, but it can be a bit confusing for kids. Fortunately most of the pictures are clear, with the exception of one or two places where pin markings were hard to read. Overall, I enjoyed the kit and was impressed by what I got for $20.
Review: I love it. A very good quality UNO board - I love it. A very good quality UNO board. Everything else is also of more than decent quality. The breadboard is smaller than I expected, but big enough for most projects. I really didn't pay any attention to the breadboard size before ordering I just assumed it was the same as the one I just received from the same company, my bad you know. I ordered this kit mostly for the UNO board and some parts the are included. I need some, cheap, simple sensors and an UNO to check code with. The board fired right up, out of the box. I am using a TFTLCD display with SD card and all the examples work as advertised. I haven't run any other sketches yet, but I am confident they will all run correctly. I recommend this for anyone getting started with Arduino and or electronics. The tutorials that come with it are really basic and good for anyone with no or limited experience with electronics or programming. Enjoy and have fun. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you code this with the arduino ide?**
A: Yes. It works the same as a genuine arduino.

**Q: what pins can do PWM? Do they all have the same hz?**
A: Pin 3.5.6.9.10.11 of UNO can use PWM. The general Arduino PWM frequency is about 490Hz, Pins 5.6 of Uno and the similar board can up to 980Hz, Pin 3.11 of Leonardo can reach 980Hz.

**Q: What is this for ?**
A: It is basically a kit to make various electronic projects with the uno controller cpu board. I have made various controller projects with mine. It contains-lots of varying parts that I put together to try on the proto board then after working out the bugs move it into a fixed project. Lots of fun and has a practical side as in the proto parts can be reused until a finished function is done.

**Q: can someone answer is simple terms what this is and what it does?**
A: This board allows you to run simple programs that basically turn relays on and off or read incoming voltage
