Good Directions 955P Smithsonian Eagle Weathervane, Polish Copper
I love this well-built high quality weathervane. No plastic parts. Very comparable to higher priced products I've seen 3X the price. The size is perfect for my 48' x 48' pole barn. In the pictures, I was a bit concerned about the amount of solder on the body where the wings connect but once looking at this piece of art, I no longer was concerned. You do not see the seams at all once it was on my cupola. Another earlier concern I had is if the 23" wingspan could be too small. Not at all, it's perfect size for my barn and I would not go any larger. I have a fairly large size cupola which compliments this wingspan.A few areas to consider when assembling.1) The lower rod has threads on both ends (1/2" & 3/8") for the upper rod (3/8") to screw in. I accidentally had the rod upside down. It was easy to remedy by flipping ends. I also used lock tight (not supplied with kit) to secure the upper rod into the lower rod.2) Do not over tighten the brass ring. It will break easy. Good Directions mailed replacement ring (including a spare) no questions asked even though it was my fault.Once the cupola & weathervane was installed, it's great to see everybody who drives by slow down/stop to view my barn. It looks great. My wife wanted the rooster but admits the soaring eagle is much better than the aggressive mean looking versions we were finding.I do not frequently post comments, this product from Good Directions I highly recommend.

Beautiful and great customer service.
I ordered the Eagle first to see if it was as nice as stated, it arrived with a bent wind indicator arrow. It was well packaged but these things happen in transit. I called the company directly and after sending a picture they sent one out right away . I then ordered the US flag and mounted it as well. Both are very nice looking and should last along time. I would not hesitate to order from this company again.

Exceeded Expectations
I wanted a weathervane for my roof for a long time. I researched weathervane companies. Good Directions had the best looking copper weathervanes. Their designs are superior to other ones I saw. When I received the eagle I was very impressed. The quality exceeded my expectations. It was better than pictured. The eagle looks spectacular on the roof and the large directionals make it easy to see which way the wind is blowing.Instructions were easy to follow, especially the video on their website. Installed this in less than an hour. Just remember to purchase the 401AL roof mount , sold separately. Really happy with this purchase. Definitely worth the money. I will definitely be ordering more for gifts from Good Directions.

Customer Service
I don't write very many reviews but wanted to give Matt Bardani with Good Directions a huge shout out for amazing customer service!! I received damaged product that was poorly packed by Amazon ( not the fault of Good Directions ) One call and they promptly made everything right. Great company. By the way the Eagle Weathervane is beautiful.

The eagle has landed
The eagle in flight weathervane I ordered is superb and high quality. I had one issue with a part, called the company (they were so helpful and understanding), and had the replacement part within a couple of days. The assembly directions are clear and concise, with pictures. If one follows the easy mounting directions for installation on the roof. You will be so happy with the results. I will undoubtedly buy from them again.

This is a beautiful addition to our home.
We replaced a rotten cupola and borrowed weathervane in advance of a re-roofing project. The cupola was first-rate; I have rated it previously. The weathervane was a bit difficult because a page of the instructions was missing. However, it wasn't rocket science to fully assemble it and install in the cupola. We wound up bringing the top of the cupola down off the roof and installing the vane, then reassembling the cupola with vane attached.I would be hesitant to gift this item because you need to know a little about the cupola before deciding just how to install the vane.

Massive statement!
Absolutely beautiful piece. Came with a considerable dent without packaging damage. Somewhat disappointed at the damage because this is quite beautiful. I used it on top of a cupola and it’s still a statement piece. See photos. Install was a breeze I also purchased the mounting bracket and put it on the cupola prior to adding the roofing to hide the bracket. Used a silicone sealant around the hole/ bracket. I used a small level to adjust as the eagle was so hefty that if the bracket wasn’t square it kept turning to the same direction and struggled to move in the wind. When adjusting the bracket I was able to get a good “ natural” spin. I also used a spray or two of lubricant on the pole and it just spins and spins and just shimmers in the light.
