Quality Tool!
Disclaimer: I have been biased towards MSR products for decades because they have well thought out, engineered, and manufactured outdoor tools.I thought my old pot lifter was lost, so ordered one from MSR, and was pleasantly impressed. The one downside is that it is 14 grams (about 1/2 ounce, not a lot) heavier than the old one, but I can simply drill some extra holes in the bottom of the handle to lighten it up a bit.Now the pluses:I love that the handle is "round" in shape, like a handle you'll have in your kitchen; especially nice for heavier pots. The MSR aluminum is about 14% thicker than the old pot holder. The MSR pot holder has "pads" that contact the outside (and inside) of the pot, they have approximately twice as much surface area as the old one, so are much less likely to mar or bend the thinner titanium pots I'm switching to.One bonus that is not covered in the description or packaging, is that it has a built in "wire bail handle" holder built into the top, which will be quite appreciated for the very large pot I use when camping with a group.

Grips pans & Pots Very well with any angle and with a lip
I looked at a lot of Pot Grips including a bunch of Youtube videos. Plenty of cut outs to reduce weight without compromizing strength. This is a useful tool that is sturdy and works. Many OTHER tools are junk. Better to have a great quality tool that will work and last. Hint: Use leather gloves to protect from radiant wood heat and put a loop of paracord on the Pot Grip to keep from dropping it in the fire.

Works well with all brands and metels
I have used this pot holder for my 1600 ml and 1900 ml TI and SS pots with not issues. Holds well and is secure when using to move full pots of boiling water around. With the larger pots the handles never give me a good solid grip, they are loose and moving around, hot and really too small to work well when moving boiling water about. This tool gives me a good secure grip on all sizes of pots, if your moving any pot over 750 ml with scalding hot water using the side handles alone you are asking to get burnt.

Excellent Addition to my Camping Mess Kit
Owned this MSR Pan Handler Pot Lifter with Cozy for about 2 months. Used it twice for camping - once on a 4-day trip with a large group and once with just my family. Both uses were for car-camping experiences, but this thing is so light and small you could easily stuff it into a backpack for "real" camping. No one on the group campout had heard of such a device, but everyone wanted to use it when it was their turn to cook and pick up the hot pot lid or move the pot off the fire.It looks and feels underwhelming, but it served it's purpose and never had any flexing, bending or other trouble picking up a medium sized pot with about a gallon of water multiple times.Well worth the $10 I paid and free shipping from Amazon.Minus 1 star just for its speculative lack of longevity and not inspiring confidence with an apparent chintzy construction.

Great for the money
No problems with this at all, and this is one of MSR's better priced items. As in, every time I use it I think, yep this is definitely worth the money I paid for it. Unlike some other MSR products where I feel like they raked me over the coals. I suppose if you needed more strength you could go Ti, but it doesnt seem worth the price difference. Like I said so far I've had 0 problems. I do make a conscious effort to keep this as cool and away from the fire/stove as possible so the metal doesnt fatigue.

Functional Simplicity
This pot holder is exactly what I was looking for. This is sold by MSR but I will use it with my GSI campware and some smaller stainless pots and pans. It is limited to 10 pounds carry weight so if you have a pot that will hold more than a gallon of water you may need to use two to lift it safely. Overloading that device is sure to find out where the weaker portions of the construction are located. Light weight, and convenient. The synthetic cloth Carry pouch doubles as a hot pan handle holder. It appears to be flannel at first glance but it is definitely treated with something synthetic. I have not tried a flame test. It will do what it is intended. Carry the pot holder so that it wont bang around inside of your camp cookware and as a hot pan handle holder.

Good quality
Gripper handles are hard to find (or very expensive) in outdoor stores nowadays, I don't know why. This tool is a basic for camping and everyone should have one. This one is a sturdy aluminum of the standard design.

,
I am satisfied customer. This great little tool is not only for camping use, but useful for household, which I needed it forIt can lift (metal) handle-less pots and bowls even with lip. I was concerned it might not grab the lipped pot, but in fact, I can get a really secure grip, even when heavy, even if you wave it around, although the lip makes the handle tilt down 45o angle. (On a straight edged bowl the handle comes out perpendicular). It seems really sturdy and looks like it will out-live the pot.ADVICE TO AMAZON: INCLUDE THIS ITEM IN ALL CATEGORIES AND KITCHEN AS WELL AS CAMPING. If it had not been for a memory of long ago having such a handle with a camping pot set, it never would have occurred to me to look under CAMPING for this needed item.
