Much better than the mirror, clearer views and installation is not that bad. Night vision is not great at all, so we had to buy a clip on lamp for night time drives. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

My initial impression were very good, the daytime clarity of the camera is extremely good. This is our second video monitor (bought one for our other car) and the daytime picture quality is much better on this unit. BUT...... when it came to nighttime there is no actual night mode. The camera requires some source of light for it to work. Our other camera has infrared lights and a camera that allow you to see in the dark. If you don't need the nighttime mode then the daytime video is excellent.I ended up returning this product because of it not actually having a real nighttime mode.

The video quality is perfect! I just dont like that my kia optima does not have a headrest on the back seats to put the camera on... I used a scarf to tie it to the handle bar on the inside top of the door that you use to get in the car.. there was no where else to put it since my baby is so little his carseat is rear facing.But if you have toddlers in front facing cars then itd be perfect. It's meant for SUVs I think. Also THERE IS NO NIGHTVISION. the screen is completely black and it reflects onto my front window shield super bright so that's a minus. I have to turn it off once the sun goes down which kind of defeats to purpose of needing to with all three of my kids in the back of my car at night when they are tired and cranky..Other than that it works well, the wire is extra long and video quality is really good!

Does not work in the dark. Can not see anything I will be returning. Works great during the day though. Cords are so long they are laying everywhere around the car!

Saw this product off a mom group. Scoped it out and had it in my 'save for later'. Finally got fed up with the attachable mirror, so ordered! What I was really hoping it would have is night vision....lack there of. The reviews I read prior were a mix of people saying yes there is and no there isn't. I took a chance! Extremely bummed it doesn't, BUT the ease of seeing my littles face as I'm still looking forward without having to do an odd dance in my seat trying to find the mirror angle has been amazing!The cords are rather long, but makes sense for there to be an abundance then it be short. I found a simple path through my car to where it would be out of the way and stashed the excess on my middle console.I liked that it came with a few options for mounting. Mine is suctioned to the window and has not had an issue falling or slipping.As a mom I love this idea/product, but having the nighttime view/light would be extremely nice and beneficial to have!

So helpful!! We mounted the camera in the middle so we can see both car seats for our twins. I'm sure it would be better if focused on just one child, but is much better than then mirrors that never stayed in place. Night vision works fine! I just wish there was a power button on the monitor. We plugged it in the back of our van, so we cannot turn it off easily if we don't have the kids in the car. I also wish it came with 3m tape for the camera since we did not put it on the headrest. It has been amazing for our first road trip!
