We own many Melissa and Doug floor puzzles because the quality is always stellar and we love how large the pieces are and that the pieces are nice and thick, so they don't bend or rip from repeated use. This puzzle didn't disappoint. My 6 year old loves dinosaurs and even though it's only 48 pieces, she still needs a little help from us and it's a fun family activity to do together. The puzzle is huge (4 feet long) and she loved the little poster that came with it that says what type of dinosaur each one is, so it's educational as well. I like that there are several types of dinosaurs featured as well, for example, a T-Rex, stegosaurus, parasaurolophus, Pteranodon, and iguanodon to name a few. All the pieces lock together nicely and come apart easily without bending. I do wish the puzzle box was a little larger because you have to put all the pieces in a certain way to be able to close it. Other than that, we are super happy with our dino puzzle.

I absolutely love puzzles! These puzzles are amazing for kids because they have such big pieces. They are bright and beautiful pictures! My kids do these puzzles all the time for fun Friday in school. Today we did a challenge on who could build the puzzle the quickest. If I could get a hundred of these 48 piece puzzles I would. Definitely a challenge for 6 and 7-year-olds, but I absolutely have multiple six, seven, and 8-year-olds that can build these no problem. Great thick cardboard pieces. Great price

Fun for 3 year old.

Puzzles are SO good for teaching children how to figure things out--without them realizing they're actually learning something. I love Melissa and Doug puzzles because the quality is thru the roof. The picture I've attached shows how my 5-year old granddaughter goes straight from one to the other and has such a sense of satisfaction.... always wants me to take a picture. Don't tell the sweet girl she's doing the 2nd one upside down! Hahah! She'll figure it out and laugh at herself. She makes sure she has the "map" to go by at first but later she'll be doing this without it and being so proud.

I cannot say enough good things about the Melissa & Doug Land of Dinosaurs Floor Puzzle! My kids are absolutely obsessed with anything dinosaur-related, so this was an instant win. The pieces are large, sturdy, and super easy for little hands to grip — perfect for toddlers and preschoolers who are still learning how to put puzzles together.

My puzzle and dino loving girl has asked to put this together 5 times in the two days we've had it. - It's sturdy if you don't let your child run wild with it. It is cardboard, but plenty thick for a floor puzzle. Teach your child to take care of it (no walking on it, take it apart instead of rip it apart, etc.) and I can see it lasting a long time. - The age range is 3+, but keep in mind that most three, four, and some five year old may need help even if they regularly do puzzles. It's not an independent activity. It's big, so it's a challenge for their spacial orientation skills. This a good thing, but don't expect to get out of doing it with them at first. - The colors are vibrant, and they made of point of including a little bit of dino on almost every piece. They also gave even the similar dinos some easy to pick out distinctions. This makes it easier for the kids to put it together. - The scene has character to it. All the dinos look like they are doing something, interacting with each other or the environment. They have easily distinguished expressions. After the puzzle is put together, my daughter likes to look at it and talk about the dinos and what they are doing. All in all, I would buy again. I would buy it as a gift. And I've already ordered two more 4ft M&D puzzles.
