97 Toyota 4 Runner
Compatible, easy to install, Comes with everything you need including Clips, Zip-ties and tester. The only complaint is Wires could of been a little longer For feedin through frame/floor to get to the vehicles rear lights. Made it work, still worth 5 stars.

The clear markings on the module and wires really helped in hooking this unit up to my '07 Jeep Liberty.

Works for 1995 jeep Cherokee
Hello!, First time doing a wire harness for a trailer and since they no longer make the plug and play version for my jeep this was the next best thing!, Was able to tap right into the existing brake light harness and everything works great!, The voltage tester that came with the kit is a must and helped breeze along the process and helped me identify what wire was for what light.

The instructions recommend that the included tester is used to puncture the plastic coating on the wires. I found it much easier to disconnect the light and touch the tester directly to the end of the connector clip. It requires a lot of force to puncture a hole in the wire and I was worried about stabbing my hand and damaging the wire. Once everything was assembled using the included blue wire tap connectors, I hooked up the trailer and nothing worked. It took some digging using my multimeter (you could also use the included tester), but I finally realized the included wire tap connectors did not puncture the plastic coating on the wires so no connection was made.I removed the blue connectors and they were covered with terminal grease which got everywhere and requires a lot of soap to get off your hands. Ultimately, I ended up stripping the wires and using some solder which made a good connection. My advice is to throw out the the wire tap connectors, solder the wires, then cover them with some electrical tape. If you don't have a soldering iron even just twisting the bare wires then using electrical tape will actually make a functional connection.Overall the kit works well. The wires were the correct length for my 2004 Honda Civic and the connections are well labelled in terms of where everything should go.

Worked but not as indicated in instructions
I bought this for an '06 Chrysler Town and Country for which I was having trouble finding a kit to hook up trailer lights. Amazon's page said it fits and that its universal, plus the price is right. But this converter is not necessary for this vehicle and the instructions don't offer any clue to how to make it work on this model car.It was pretty straight forward accessing the existing wires on the van and using the included test light to locate the proper brake, tail, and turn signal wires. Problems arose when I discovered the turn and brake lights are on the same circuit. I did not need a converter but since I had already begun installation and this device was supposed to work I took a WAG and used the inclosed clips to connect the brake light wire to the same wire as the left turn signal. This didn't work. The directions printed inside the package label are minimal and no help. A web search produced no luck until I watched a YouTube video on the installation on a Lincoln Town Car. The solution - treat the red brake wire like a ground wire, connect it to the chassis with the white wire. The better solution - buy a wiring kit that is better designed for your car or truck.I'm giving this three stars since it ultimately did work but check your cars wiring to be sure you need a 5 to 4 wire converter.

Everything in one package
So, I ordered this because everything needed was there, with the exception of any tools you might need to remove your taillight enclosures. Everything appears to be of good quality, but I found that the green wire that's for the right turn signal was *barely* long enough on my Tacoma. The LED testing probe isn't very bright; if you install under direct sunlight, it's hard to see. I was fortunate to have an electrical schematic, which helped greatly. All in all, a very nice package!

Good quality product
Easy to install, need a multimeter to find your tail cords but that's have nothing to be related with the product.

Incorrect fitment
Product is indicated to fit my vehicle (Nissan Altima 2003) but did not work. After careful install, indicators blinked twice then stopped. I replaced this item with another model by an alternative manufacturer which is powered by the car’s battery - now everything works fine
