W22FL - Standard of Excellence Book 2 Book Only - Flute

As needed.

I have used this for over a year and the binding still stands. Has good and a lot of second level sheet music and you can get good practice from it. You can probably try sheet music after this or also the green book. We have bought all three books for flute and one book for percussion. Great book overall and has good theory too. well rated book by music teachers.

Had the 1st book and bought this one for school this year for my oldest. It works great for everything they are learning.

And I bought a used one. At this price, it was a good deal and in good shape. The only misgiving I had was that whatever bookstore stocked it had it labeled at $1 and I payed much more than that for the convenience of using Amazon. Check your local music store first, but overall this was a good deal.

This series is excellent...we started with Accent on Achievement, and this fits in well for moving on. Not overwhelming like some others. Easy to practice on your own, or in groups. There are exercises, scales, small songs, and complete songs that would be suitable for concerts. Best part is that you can play along out of this book with any other instruments (of course they need their own instruments book)...but a flute,and or clarinet, and or trumpet, and or tuba, drums, etc, would all be able to play songs together if they have this book. (or any in their series). BTW, we happen to be older adults, some playing for the first time ever, so learning not only the instrument, but how to read music too.

Band teacher asked me to get it for my son and I did. Can't say any more about it except that I am sick of listening to the boy play the same things over and over again. Just another thing us parents have to endure. LOL

Not using it yet. But using the book 1 now. My kid is learning FLUTE and this is the text book teacher asked.

As a music teacher I have used the Standard of Excellence series for years & found the each book from beginner to advanced provides the student with a solid foundation for flute playing.
