Nothing wrong with this multimeter but returned and bought the latest model which has better features and is not much dearer.

So the basic instructions that come in the box really are basic, I have used multimeters before but this one stumped me when it came to measuring current. First time i used the amp setting it showed me what i expected, next time i measured it was way out of range, the fuse didnt blow so it obviously was not correct. Now it only shows 0 and 1. Dont know what is the problem so will be sending back UPDATE. support were very helpful, two internal fuses, managed to blow 10A fuse, once replaced everything working fine.

Early days, but so far it's very good.

Fantastic and easy to use - super versatile!

I’ve used this on a bunch of house and car projects, more than I would’ve expected. It’s served me really well the last couple years. Just hold onto the instruction manual so you remember what ports you have to plug the leads into!

I had 3 cheap old multimeters in a drawer and couldn't get a zero read on what should have been a continuity test on any of them. (On ohms setting, if you touch the leads together, you should get zero, and your unit should be working right.) So I started doing my Amazon homework and ended up with this unit, which also happened to be on sale. This one had what my other 3 did not, a built in continuity test with audible tone. It worked correctly when done the standard way as well. So I used it for testing capacitors and it worked great. I love the built in lead clips for storage too, and setting for checking live lines. I am quite satisfied, definitely recommend for the average user.

EDIT: The seller contacted and offered a free replacement. Satisfied with customer support. This was supposed to be a good purchase considering such good reviews, mine arrived and seemed bad unit out of the box. The screen kept blinking and beeping every second with dial on any position. Tried to read the provided documentation, checked official website, checked QA and also product reviews for all AstroAI models to find if someone had such an issue but nothing found. Started a return with Amazon, but later wanted to test replace the battery just in case. I got lucky and the unit seems to be working fine now after the battery change. Battery (PKCELL Extra Heavy Duty) has an expiry of 12/2024 but seems to have died way before. No way i could identify the issue because turning on the unit was not showing a dull screen but the screen blinked with full dark colors. The unit has a battery indicator but instead of throwing a warning that way, it gave me a blinking screen and continuous beep every second. For the quality, not sure how good the unit is (yet to tested) or how long this unit will last but i feel like the basic functionality of identifying a low battery failed on this unit.
