Awesome Class D Mono Amp!
I purchased this Amplifier to be installed in my Infiniti G37 coupe. After previously owning a HiFonics Brutus Class D amp, I knew that the overall quality and performance would be exceptional. After reading reviews and selecting the correct model based on the needed RMS for pushing my single 10" Boston Acoustics G2 DVC subwoofer, I pulled the trigger. After receiving the amp, I unboxed and examined the build quality. As expected, the amp appeared to be constructed very well. All connections and features were solid and it was apparent that there was some testing conducting prior to the amp leaving the manufacturer as there were small traces of wire in each of the speaker terminals.I ended up removing the silver plastic mounting pieces on each side of the amp (look like vents with 2 holes on each side for mounting). I planned on mounting the amp under the trunk floor where the spare tire sits so I freed up a few inches of length by doing so. The amp comes with all necessary hardware for mounting the amp, along with the bass gain adjusting knob. After installing and wiring the amp with a 4 gauge wiring kit, and a line out converter to interface with the stock Bose unit, I powered up the amp and adjusted the low pass and subsonic filter to be able to cover the maximum low frequency spectrum for all types of music. I adjusted the subsonic to cutoff at the lowest frequency, and the low pass to cutoff at its highest frequency - ultimately giving the most use of the amps capacity to cover all music types (punchy techno to he really deep lows in some reggae and hip hop). After connecting the gain controller, I adjusted the dB adjuster to about +7 dB and then adjusted the gain to about 3/4 of the full power capacity. The amp provides more than enough clean power to really make my 10" sub rumble. After playing continuously at a pretty high volume, the amp barely even gets warm to the touch, even given the rather small space it's installed in. I'm VERY satisfied with this amp and have always found HiFonics amps to be a very cost effective solution. These amps are built to last and also make a very close power output to the RMS that they claim. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this amp for your car audio system.Amp comes with wiring instructions and an explanation on each of the tuning features to that you can adjust to your needs and preferences. Overall, I rate this amp a 10 out of 10.

Love this amp. 1ohm stable and stays cool. POWERFUL
Perfect amp for the price! & very powerfulHas Sub sonic which is necessary to avoid those low notes that your subs shouldn't be playingLow pass filterWhat I find the most interesting is the output channels for the speakers..It's 1 channel, but has 2 (-) & 2(+) which really makes it easy to connecting 2 subs while lowering or increasing the impedance/resistance/ohms..I have 2 kicker l7 dvc @4ohm per coilSo for each sub is connected in parallel. So I brought the 4ohm down to a 2ohm.So now each sub is in 2ohm & thanks to this amp, I can just connect each speaker to the amp which then brought it down to 1ohm.& just to make sure I took my volt meter to test it. Put the ohm setting. Then connected it to the amp outputs.( Red to +) (black to -) doesn't matter which positive or negative output since there are 2 of each... & it was indeed 1ohm* btw this amp does not heat up at all on me. Stays as cool as can beThank you hifonics and amazon

The amp was great for about 2 months
The amp was great for about 2 months. Then it kept shutting off due to over heating so I bought a fan and still it would shut off after about 10 min of use. Its only powering 2 10w0v1-3 its about 150 watts rms per sub and yet it still cuts out. I don't know if mine had a defect but when it was working it worked great.

Decent amp
This is a decent budget amp. I ended up returning it after a couple of weeks because it does not put out 1000w RMS. We clamped the amp at ~700w at 14v.That's not necessarily a deal breaker for a lot of people. 700w is still respectable for the money. I'd recommend it if you're pushing a single powerful sub or two weaker subs. The amp does have a nice blue glow to it. I thought that was neat. The amp also feels well built. It's solid. The terminals could be a little bit larger... It's pretty hard to fit 4 gauge wire in them. They also use Alan wrenches for the speaker terminals and power/ground terminals... Not really a fan of this.Overall, you're looking at a 700w amp for $100. Don't expect 1000w and you'll be happy. There are better options out there, but I'm not aware of anything in the same price range. If you need an actual 1000w, look into the brutus lineup, or maybe audiopipe.

After almost one year still slamming!
This product is solid for the price! I bought this almost one year ago on 3/15/13 based on the reviews, plus everywhere wanted an arm and a leg for 500W amp... I hooked up two Infinity Reference 1062w 10-Inch 1,100-Watt at 1OMs and lets just say, I think some screws are loose in the car. As for heating, I've yet to have a problem, I usually drive 25 miles at a time and I don't turn the amp all the way up, sounds beautiful as-is. If you are looking for a starter kit for a system that may set off a FEW alarms at maxx volume, this may do the job. Another note, I saw someone who said it was noisy, they must have it in the passenger seat or something... I have yet to even hear this thing click, and the blue LED is a plus, but I keep mine covered, don't want anyone in my trunk now. :P

smooth
the amp gives ample juice. this is my first mono amp and it beats for hours. i had a 2 channel amp before and it would over heat after 20 minutes. just made a 4 hour road trip and the music was on full blast the whole time never went into protect. adjustment is easy and the bass knob helps as i listen to a variety of music. the ports aren't to bad and everything fit well. i have it pushing a single dvc p3 at 2 ohm and it is a perfect match i know i could blow the sub if i needed to prove how strong this amp is.
