I bought this one for myself. I had three others for my children when we started collecting State Quarters. This folder is sturdy and will last a long time. The quarters fit nice and tight and will not fall out. They are tough to get in-used a cloth and rubber hammer to get the hard ones into the slots. Liked the official look of them and glad they continue to make them. Holds all the State Quarters both P and D with a few blank spaces. We put the P ones in so we can see the backs and since we live on the East Coast, the D ones face up. They are harder to find and so we wanted to show them off.

The book is sturdy and has a nice appearance. It is fairly easy to get the coins in the slots, though some of the slots are a bit tight. For the really tight slots I place the book on a flat surface, cover the coin with a towel, and tap lightly with a hammer. Once the slot has been stretched, it's much easier to get the coin in or out. Also, coins can be removed fairly easily by pushing on the back of the book, which is nice for me since sometimes I trade a worn version with a newer version when I find one. The coins certainly aren't loose enough to fall out, though. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly inexpensive way to keep their coins in nice shape.

This is a perfect folder for your commemorative quarter collection. With the 50 States and 6 Territories, coming from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, it is a 112 coin collection. I spent a few months going to my bank and getting rolls of quarters to go through one by one. After three months I have 111 filled! The only one I am missing is: "US Virgin Islands, Denver Mint ("D"). It is driving me nuts! I am obsessed. If anyone has one, I will pay a very handsome 400% increase over the face value of that coin, and I will even pay for the shipping! Why? Because that's just the kind of wonderful guy I try to be, usually. lol

I bought this folder for my girlfriend who expressed an interest in starting to collect coins. We have a little over half the state quarters now and are both impressed with the folder. Looks professional and holds the coins very well. I liked how there are slots for the Denver and Philly coins, layed out nicely next to eachother arranged by year. I dont understand reading reviews with people saying its difficult to insert the coins. Thats the purpose of the folders, is to hold them well. I did not find it difficult in any manner to insert the quarters. Maybe those people were elderly with not much motor functions or hand capability... And when I inserted the quarters, it did not "crease" the cardboard at all. Some people must use mallets to insert their quarters to get that effect... The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because I like to be super critical on reviews. This folder is very nice for what you want it to do. However its not super duper fancy. Its made with very thin peices of cardboard, although well strong enough to do the job, I just get the impression, "You get what you pay for" kind of feeling. Also the inserted quarters leave dimples on the back of the quarter holding slots which just look kinda goofy. But I can only assume its designed like that to make it easier to push from the back of the folder to remove the quarters from their slots. Overall a great buy for coin collecting.

I've been a fan of the Whitman coin book collection for many years. The quality of this book was right on par.This particular book has room for every mint of every state for the given years. Many others just allow one coin per state, but with two minting locations they leave something to be desired.This book does not have that problem. It's low cost, good quality, and fully represents the different mints of every state.If you want a way to store and easily reference your coins, then get this book. If your child wants to collect state quarters and an easy reference for them to see is helpful, then get this book. If you want to build the collection and pass it off to your children, then get this book.

I received this Quarter folder from Amazon.com about a week ago and I think its put together rather nicely. The cover and pages are not overwhelmed by the pictures or use of excessive colors. Its rather plain and serves its only purpose: to display quarters. This makes your quarters the focus of attention in the folder. I like how the quarters have two slots for each state one for the "P" Philadelphia mint and one for the "D" Denver mint edition. It folder contains some facts on each state as well as extra slots for additional coins. The folder is hard cover and sturdy, pressing the coins in takes a little work but they stay securely in place.

I was excited because I had finally found all the quarters and couldn't wait to fill up this book. But, unfortunately, I couldn't fit any of the quarters into the slots--except for one. I don't have the thumb strength, as some of the other reviewers have suggested, is necessary. It is a shame because the book looks very professional and is a good size.

I bought the entire collection of these folders that is available at the moment. They all arrived within a day of each other, as expected. New users may think they seem small but they are a very compact and inexpensive way to keep your coins organized. A great tool for the beginner or the experienced coin collector. Be sure to lay the binder on a flat, hard surface like a desk or kitchen counter when entering your coins and you should have no problems.
