Throw away everything but the light
For the price, you can't go wrong - these are nice, bright halogen lamps. The plastic housing is a little iffy, but so far they seem to be holding up OK. The switch they come with is pretty much garbage, and the short grounding wire will be useless in most cases, since light bars generally make poor grounding points. I spliced a new ground wire onto mine and ran it to chassis. I also replaced the switch with an automotive relay and a marine style rocker switch. The lights are on the small side, but great for low profile rooftop lighting or especially in tight spots like inside a grille guard.

Pleased with purchase
I selected the Blazer fog lights since they were rectangular and appeared to complement the 1976 vintage Triumph TR6. The inside housing is metal, lens is glass, and housing is plastic. I did not over-torque the pivot attachment bolt. When installing note: 1. Brass prong to battery negative or frame ground 2. Center prong to battery positive or fuse box 3. Bottom prong to light wire from front There is an in-line fuse; did not need to use an additional relay. The rocker switch lights red when turned on.

caught fire
caught fire after about a year, luckily my truck didn’t burn down, yes i had a fuse and yes it was wired correctly, back of the bulb in the headlight housing got too hot is my guess

Good Lights; Best Price through Amazon
These lights have a very good light pattern. Although they do not have the same wavelength as a full yellow "Fog Light", they do provide excellent lighting and good performance in fog or mist. I drive in all kinds of conditions and weather and I base my review on my years of experience with the need of additional lighting equipment for varying conditions.

Good for cheap extra light, but not for user friendliness.
I only gave these 3 stars, but they're better for my specific application. These lights are perfectly fine if you need a cheap, quick and dirty fog light setup. I replaced the stock fog lights which did nothing even when properly adjusted with these, and the light pattern is good, useful, and inoffensive to oncoming cars. There are many problems with these lights however. The mounting method is crude to say the least. Even if you mount them to a solid surface, they will waggle around slightly when going over bumps. Depending on where you put them it can also be very difficult to get them aimed properly and then tighten them down without throwing them out of alignment. In my case, one snugged down fine, while the bolt on the other refused to catch on the housing and would spin with the nut as soon as it touched the mounting surface. I ended up having to adjust it, then epoxy it in place. The bulbs in these are not replaceable, despite what the description may say. The contacts are soldered in place, and if one burns out, it means replacing the entire unit, cutting and re-soldering the wiring. I knew all this going into the purchase however, as I've had a pair on a previous vehicle. I cannot say anything about the wiring, fuse, and switch that come with them, since in both cases I used the wiring from my broken stock fogs and used the stock switch. In short, they're a pain to install, a pain to replace, and they're not pretty, but they do work, and work well for the price. If you're looking for something more user friendly and serviceable, it's better to look at the more pricey kits, but if you drive a nugget and are just looking for extra light on the cheap, they're perfect.

Good bang for the buck.
These lights are plenty bright. When aimed properly, they throw lots of usable light on the road. The wiring, while cheap, is a nice bonus, though you may not be able to use it in every application. As for long term use, I would suggest making your own wiring harness. The mounting leaves lots to be desired as it is sub par and doesn’t hold well. Also, the listing stated that these lights have a metal housing. That’s not true. The housing it cheap flimsy plastic. Pros: good trapezoidal beam, usable wiring, comes with fuse, great bang for the money, if you’re good with your hands your can make your own mounting hardware and wiring which makes these up to be excellent little lights. Perfect for your old work truck/car/ or tractor. Cons: false advertising when it comes to the metal housing, and flimsy. I can tear them off my truck with one hand as the housing is cheap, flimsy plastic. Four out of five stars.

Great supplemental lights for old RV's
I purchased these for our old Tioga RV and I put them under the front steel chrome bumper on the Class C. The wiring was simple and it gave great light on the highway to supplement the two round headlights. They served well and gave no problems. The switch lights up when in use.

Awesome product!
I used these fog lights on my 1989 Audi 200 Quattro Avant. Square fog lights complimented the square body lines of the car. Also, I would add that these look period correct fog lights. Yellow lights look great. Wiring the fog lights were very easy by following the instructions. Putting a hole any where on the trim is scary but square button goes along with the other square buttons in the car. You shouldn't expect HID or LED level brightness from these lights. However, I would say they are bright enough to be used as fog lights.

Properly installed they do the job. It was too hard from descriptions to pick an LED set we could be sure of so these cheap lights with a wiring kit were a no brainer and no risk choice. They run hot and can get moisture in them but we live off grid, in the bush and need to keep moving in what would otherwise be whiteout conditions. These work fine. They work as well as this style has ever worked and I've been using lights like these since 1977. This brand has been put on several of our trucks over the years. We will probably buy these again for the next truck too..... The kit doesn't include the adapter to snatch power from your low beam circuit or a relay that such a line would trip. The kit is for a direct battery connection - which is not always the legal way to set fog lights up.

These do not have the proper beam pattern to be fog lights. These are just driving lights with a yellow background. Fog lights are supposed to have wide and narrow beam patterns, not long and narrow, like driving lights do. They are also really white from the front, but emit fairly amber light. Also the switch and wiring aren't very good. Get another proper wiring harness with a relay and switch instead of the included one. The lights are also very cheaply put together, which makes sense for the price, but I don't see them lasting too long. Edit: These "fog lights" died four days after I installed them. Seemed to have just stopped working for no reason. Connectors were not the issue. Do not recommend!
