Uncle Mike's SS BL Nickel Quick Detach Sling Swivels

High quality sling swivels at a fair price. Can’t get any easier to install. I’ve used these for years in all weather conditions and they’ve never failed.

I absolutely love these Super Swivels. I've been buying these for years. They work perfect for attaching a sling to your rifle. I have used these in a number of different capacities. I have attached both leather and paracord slings to them as slings. Here's my take on them, notes, and some precautions: Pros: - These are super strong swivels and I have yet to have one of them fail on me over many years of use and packing my various rifles through the Rocky Mountains and Texas brush - They are simple to use. Just back out the lock nut all the way, push in, and turn to open the locking mechanism and remove from your swivel stud. - The locking feature itself. I love this feature. When you place the swivel on the stud, close it, and then screw in the lock collar, it just spins on the shaft without engaging (sorry, it's kind of hard to explain, but the directions in the package do a pretty good job with pictures and narrative). You have to manually pull out the locking collar while twisting it to be able to screw it out to open the lock to remove the swivel. No ACCIDENTAL opening of the swivel, this means your swivel won't accidentally fall off your gun dropping it. Cons: - The locking collar is made of plastic. I haven't had one break or fail, but this could be the failure point of this swivel. Time will tell, although I have had them for years with no issue thus far. Notes: - The 1 1/4" swivels are perfect for a 6-strand wide paracord sling. I tried one with the 1" swivels and it was an utter failure. The 1" is just too small. - To dispel some of the confusion in other comments on how many you need to purchase, here goes... If you buy one package, you will receive 2 swivels (as shown in the second picture of the package on Amazon). For most standard rifles, you will need both swivels to attach a sling to it. One swivel will attach on the buttstock and one will attach on the forearm end. - For rifles that come with pre-installed swivel studs, this is the package you will need to buy. IF your rifle DOES NOT have pre-installed studs, you will need to buy (https://smile.amazon.com/Uncle-Mikes-QD-115-RGS/dp/B0009TTROW/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1481138370&sr=8-9&keywords=uncle+mikes+swivel+stud) for wood stock rifles. You will need to install the studs prior to attaching the swivels. Overall, these are great swivels and I will continue to buy them in the future. Good quality, does what it should, feels secure. One thing to note though, on the ruger 10/22 plastic stock with the sling hole mounts, it fits perfectly well on the rear, but for some reason it is about half a millimeter too short for the front mount and it doesn't fully close, though is a nitpick and minor thing because it still works fine, just doesn't swing as freely on the front.

Excellent quality

The slings are pretty solid in construction. They are 1.25 inch. A 1.25 national match leather sling will have to be trimmed to fit through these. They fit well on any regular sling stud, and these will work with a Harris bipod. I was a little disapointed with the quality, there was plastic shavings caught in the threads making them difficult to open, and it feels like the screw stud to open the swivel is plastic. I would trust them for really really heavy work, but if your just slinging your rifle from the truck to the blind they are not a bad deal

Good swivel, easy to use, price is right, holds the gun (of course). Like the quick release I guess, it works and seems secure, but I don't switch swivels around much anyway. But now I can between guns, it's worth it because I do have some guns without a strap but they could take one easily with this system. So if you only have one sling and a few guns, it makes a lot of sense. Anything Uncle mIkes is good anyway.

Functional, as described. Never yet had a problem with an uncle mikes product except for it doesn't survive being hit by a slug when the sling is folded upwards :)

exactly what I needed

No real issues about this swivel, works as you thought it would. However, my only complaint is that the little plastic knob that covers the metal button breaks easily. You could still detach the swivel quickly but the quality wasn't as great as I thought. That's why it lost a star.
