It is sturdy enough that it stays standing even when it's on carpet and we don't have a base on every leg. Easy to assemble. My 6-year-old easily builds tracks on his own. My only complaint is that we like to do marble races but there aren't enough pieces to make two equal tracks or to start a race evenly. Now I know, for future marble track purchases, which I'm sure we'll be making. It's a great toy. Tons of fun.
