Great product
Used with my projector, fire stick and Blu-ray player. Only tested with Dolby digital as Atmos doesn’t work with my sound equipment. : The device outputs this format perfectly. Bit disappointed that Amazon films do not have Dolby digital compatibility (Just Atmos) Which outputs to stereo. Apple TV supports the older Dolby digital in which outputs to 5.1 perfectly. Great device that works with anything with an hdmi and outputs to phono or digital coaxel Recommended

Does the job, but not the most premium
Does the job, but not the most premium I bought this 4K 60Hz HDMI audio extractor to use with a projector setup in my garage. The setup itself was a bit of a DIY job — a 1080p projector, a portable Freeview box, a manual TV aerial mounted to the wall, and a pair of budget plug-in speakers. I needed something to pull all the audio together, and this did the trick. It isn’t the most premium product out there and the instructions could definitely be clearer, but once I got it working it’s been reliable. We’ve watched multiple finals on it now and had no issues — the audio has kept in sync and it’s never dropped out. For what I paid, it’s decent value. Not perfect, but if you need a straightforward solution for a setup like mine, it works. Four out of five stars.

Magic little box!
I bought this splitter as I use a monitor without an audio output or built in speakers with my switch and I wanted to connect my sound bar to it. So easy to use and understand, had it set up and sound blasting within 2 minutes! One HDMI out from the monitor into splitter, USB cord from the splitter into my switch dock, audio jack from speaker into splitter and HDMI into splitter and out from my switch dock. Sounds complicated but super easy and much much cheaper than buying a new monitor. I’m very happy!

Well priced, good audio quality
Have used in line from an XBox-X to send stereo sound to external amp and speakers. Works perfectly. Nothing else to say.

Device has to be switched on every time it's powered up
The audio extraction of this product works fine for the price, only a very faint hiss can be heard with the amplifier turned up to full volume, also I never got round to checking but I wondered if the RH speaker was slightly quieter than the left. The main issue I had, the image on Amazon shows the eARC Audio Extraction on/off switch as a slide switch which can be left permanently in the eARC Extraction On position. The product that was delivered had a momentary push switch, press once to turn on eARC Audio Extraction and once again to turn it off. Firstly I powered the converter using a 5v USB socket on my amplifier - every time the amplifier turned off (which it does when the TV is turned off), the power to the converter was lost and upon the next power cycle the eARC Audio Extraction button has to be pressed again. I then tried powering the converter with a separate 5v supply but still we get regular power-cuts about once a week, and with the eARC Extraction off, my TV reverts back to using it's internal speakers. So I found myself having to walk over to the converter hidden behind my amp, fumble around to find the eARC push button then go through the long chuggy options menu on my TV to turn eARC output on again. Real shame they changed the design of this converter, a slide switch would have been fine. If the device could just remember it's last state before power loss or default as eARC Audio Extraction on!

Inconsistent device function - audio extraction, inconsistent input switch not functioning correctly
I bought the 4K@60Hz Audio Extractor with high expectation but was a disappointment - performance & reliability far too poor. 1. the most significant issue with this audio extractor is its inconsistent functionality. It frequently fails to extract audio, leaving me with no audio output or sound disruptions. This inconsistency is incredibly frustrating defeating the purpose of using the extractor! 2. the input switch does not function correctly with the 3 different audio passes and 5.1. It fails to extract audio within the correct inputs. And 3. there wasn't even a power adaptor available with my kit!

Google TV, Spotify Lossless, External DAC 😃
Works great with a Google TV allowing digital output of Spotify lossless into an external DAC

Does what it is meant to do well but slightly glitchy
Does what it is supposed to do well but the sound stops working from time to time until I remove the USB-C power cable and plug it back in again. Not a big deal having to do this but without this problem my review would have been a 5. It allows me to plug a device with HDMI output only into my sound system.

So far so Good! as of 4/20/2025 I received this converter on time, I hooked this up right away because two weeks ago our TV. stopped working, we bought a new Samsung TV. only to find out Fiber Optic Lead for soundbars (Optical Audio Cable plug, or RCA plugs are not in TV, it does have HDMI however, my Vizio Soundbar doesn't have HDMI. i was able to hook my sound bar up via Bluetooth only to hear the sound fade in and out, I began to research this issue, I bought avedio Links HDMI ARC Audio Extractor Converter, after hooking every thing up it works perfect, it did take some playing around with controls for about ten min. I would highly recommend this avedio Links HDMI ARC Audio Extractor Converter, I know time will tell if and how long this will last! So far so GOOD! I do not have to replace my Sound bar:)
