Decent light with remote control
Summary: Pretty good light, some quality issues with sharp edges (see below).Observations: 1) both metal brackets were very sharp (would not hand them to a child), easily fixed with a carbide sharpener or file; 2) no strain relief on black connector on box on the solar panel, easily fixed by adding a zip-tie to prevent wire from pulling; 3) the remote works well, uses a CR2025 battery, and is infrared (IR); 4) light is pretty dim, which is good for battery life, and there are 4 levels (20/50/70/100%); 5) the "microwave induction mode" works fair, differs from the typical passive infrared (PIR) common for motion sensing.Fun fact, in Chinese, wire is referred to as "4.5 rice noodle" (see the pic of the wire bundle).Recommendations: 1) Remove the clear protective tape around the edge of the solar panel; if you don't, and leave it in the sun for a day, it's a terrible mess; 2) replace the M4 (4mm) threaded wing nuts with screws/nuts/wingnuts; the thin tapped M4 will not hold (one of mine was already stripped out); 3)Pros: Complete kit, including mounting hardware; blue charging indicator light; lithium battery pack is comprised of three (3) 2200 mAh cells, which is decent size (range for 18650 cells is 2000 to 3500 mAh); manufacture date 2020.10.10.Cons: 1) sharp brackets, 2) lack of strain relief on solar panel; 3) does not have a battery level indicator; 3) soldering on the light is marginal (hobby, not consumer level). Conclusion: At $47, this is above the market average for this style light, and given the quality issues (metal brackets), rating it 4-stars. The KYSON below is a similar offering that I Vine reviewed, and rated 5-stars.Related Products:Kyson Solar Ceiling Light 56 Led Shed Light Solar Lights ~ $40https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HWC6SXQ

About as bright as a 60 watt bulb. Form factor is nice. Blueish-White, between daylight and cool.
I really like the form factor of this light; It's all enclosed and looks a lot like a light fixture with a wire coming out of it. It's a rounded square so it's not easy to tell if it's a little crooked. The light isn't very bright though, it's something between a 40 watt and 60 watt bulb; it's bright enough to light up a hall wall but not brightly lit.It does have motion detection and it seems to be very sensitive which is a huge plus! I have it in my hall way and it can detect me coming from around the doorway, about 12-15 feet away! Impressive. I've only used it in the motion detection mode because my hallway is constantly dark. The color is something between daylight and cool; it's more blue than daylight and less blue than cool white. There is no warm (yellowish) light mode. The remote is straightforward and simple. The price seems a little high but if it holds up over time, it will be worth it.The only con (other than it being a bit dim) is the light's mounting bracket. It's a metal bracket with four tabs that you attach to the wall or ceiling and then slide the light into it until it clicks. Well, the tabs are a bit too close to the wall or ceiling and I had a hard time mounting it. If you do buy this, bend the tabs up slightly!Overall, I would recommend this light for mostly carefree lighting. Mostly because you have to clean the solar panel every month or so.FYI, the cable is a water proof 5.5mmx2.5mm DC cable. If you want to extend it, this is the most common power cable. Finding one that's water proof as well might be hard but it's very easy to find non weatherproof cables. It's the same cable that most security cameras use!
