Maybe not best for basketball !
Purchased this padded compression shirt ( & a few others ) in the hopes of protecting my freshman son, playing on his High Schools’ Varsity Basketball Team. These young men he goes up against play very aggressive & they’re sooo tall & sooo muscular, so I was hoping wearing this would lessen the impact from flying elbows & body collisions. Wearing pads like this definitely does give him extra confidence in his play and in his position where he’s expected to make a lot of shots. Mentally, I think this product also helps knowing you have that extra shock absorber & you’re going to take hits. Why this shirt did not work for us?......the shoulder pads interfered w/ his shot. Simple as that ! I even tried cutting them out, but learned quickly, you can’t. Their special technology pads are embedded like into the fabric....looked like a honeycomb, removing any of it destroyed the shirt. I did try repairing it but the whole point of the shirt was compromised. Full disclosure, not all boys are bothered by them. I suppose it comes down to placement & your specific shooting motion.

Hand wash only item
Item came with list of don’ts…. So it’s a Hand Wash Only and for a football player that uses it daily— it still stinks and it’s inconvenient. Dicks sells same kind of stuff that can be washed in a washer. I’m just saying.
