I used it to connect PVC irrigation pipes and it works pretty well without primer!

Needed to bond non metal pool pipes of different material and this did the job well.

I am DIY handyman around my house, If I think I can do it, I will try. If I find out I need help, then I will call in a professional. Enough said, this was my first time working with plastic pipe. I found out the brush in can is a round shaped swab attached to the lid. You need to give it time for the excess glue to drain off the swab, back into the can, otherwise you better have a drip cloth down. Actually, I learned from this and recommend that the drip cloth should be part of the plan, Other than some drips, I was successful with this product on my first try.

This stuff is great. I didn't use primer, just the glue and there are no leaks.
