I planted 20 seeds and ended up with 4 viable plants. I tried to start them indoors before the growing season. I had sprouted plants but I neglected to water them for a week or so and lost the plants. Totally my fault. Of the seeds that were left I planted 20 seeds over two identical pots with identical soil in identical locations. One pot of plants sprouted and did well for a few weeks then died. The other pot had four survivors. I transplanted those and fed them some fertilizer. With in a few weeks they grew bigger but I still didn't think they would produce. Then seemingly overnight they grew 8-10 inches and started flowering. In the mess you see I have 3-4 peppers that are 6-8 inches in length. I may have ended up with a better grow rate if I had salvaged the original planting. But I'm at 20% of the second planting and while the plants I have are great the success rate could be improved. Or maybe I'm just a bad gardener.

If I could rate this item no stars I would do so. I know how to sprout seeds for planting, I have done so since i was a kid. NOT A SINGLE SEED in this package sprouted, not a one. It was a waste of my money to purchase this item through Amazon. Burpee packages good seeds typically - so I say something in the storage or the transit of these seeds went very badly wrong. Will not make this mistake again!

Started 6 plants all started very slow growing, even used miracle Gro starter soil indoors full sun in the window

They were great. The only reason for a four star rating is because only about 75% of the seeds I planted came up.

No date on package, could be old seeds and i wasted my money and time

Too soon to tell if they will germinate or not.

All of the seeds I planted sprouted and they are growing nicely.
