No good at all for making chocolate coated sweets. Can’t grip properly without squashing the sweet.

I tried this making oreo balls and it was a big mess. It didn't work for that- looking pretty and professional- but it will be great for dipping 1/2 of strawberry or cookie or whatever.

I bought these tongs to make chocolate-covered Oreos. The melted chocolate made the cookie difficult to hang onto because the tongs are flimsy.
