Had a nutritionist recommend that I start using oils higher in omega 3. I am loving this stuff. It has a nutty flavor which is not a surprise, and so far is great on salads, used for stir fry, baking, making crepes, and more. The squeeze bottle is brilliant and such an easy way to dispense.

Mild but flavorful

I didn't buy this oil to cook with (though I may do some of that.) I bought it because a woodworker friend told me that he only uses walnut oil on his turned bowls. Walnut oil is food-safe and it cures to create a satin finish for bowls and other wood items. Other vegetable oils are not good because they create a sticky surface and can allow bacteria to grow. I use my hands to rub the oil onto surfaces, then clean up with a soft cloth. Let it air dry and you're good to go! Great stuff to keep your wood looking beautiful.

It's definitely not a strong or vibrant quality oils, but it is fresh and flavorable. More for cooking than a table oil.

I bought this walnut oil to treat my wooden cutting boards. It works well.
