It will work just the same with a pitch back net.

How far back from the wall should you stand for Passback football.

The stronger your arm, the farther you can be from the wall. I started out throwing the ball at the wall from 5-6 yards and also just to warm up and it came back just fine. Now, almost 7 years later, I still have my Passback ball but tend to throw at the wall from 15-20 yards away just to stretch the arm out. I hope this helps!

My house is all vinyl siding. Can I make a wooden wall and use this football?

Definitely. As long as whatever you're bouncing this off of is flat sided - you will get a true bounce and it comes back pretty quickly.
