does this work for using DoD enterprise email on android?

You need to download software for this and the only software that I found for it was by a company called Thursby and the program was Sub Rosa Pro. There was a free version but that only works with Thursby's CAC readers. I bought the $99 Pro version and it worked for DTS, did not work for Navy or Marines OWA and also Marine Online. I just went through the process to get a refund. I think this is product isn't really tailored for Androids, it just fits and "works" that way.

Will i be able to access DOD websites using a Galaxy S8?

I access all the DOD websites with it on an S9+. It reads the CAC with no problems.

Will it work for the 7 plus?

It is for use with a USB-C connector. If by 7 Plus, you mean iPhone, no, the 7 series does not utilize that type of connection.

Guter Smartcard-Leser für MacBook

Funktioniert super, um PKI-Smartcards mit PIN-geschützten Zertifikaten einzusetzen. Betrieb an einem MacBook Air (2024) klappt gut - der Kartenleser ist so breit, dass die Stromversorgung über USB-C zusammen mit dem Leser nutzbar ist.

Perfect, small USB-C CAC reader

I just purchased this for use with a new MacBook Pro with USB-C, with a DOD Common Access Card (CAC) on macOS 10.12 Sierra (with Thursby Software's PKard CAC middleware) and Windows 10 (under VMware Fusion, with no additional middleware). It works as expected without issue. Having used the tiny foldable SCM/Identiv SCR3500 reader for the older USB (USB-A) for some time, I was looking for a similar USB-C replacement so I wouldn't have to use a dongle. This works perfectly, and is exactly what I was looking for. the rotating/folding case is also a bit more nicely-designed than the SCR3500, and provides more proper alignment and support for the card when inserted. Very happy with my purchase.
