Van Ness ECOWARE Cat Dish, 8 Ounce, Assorted Colors, Pacific Blue, Single Dish (ECW20)

I don't write a lot of reviews at all, but this is my favorite cat dish, and I've tried many. It's pretty perfect. As a breeder, I have several cats to feed, and like to give each their own dish to make sure no one gets pushed out and everyone gets enough. These work great for that, they fit a 3 oz can perfectly (haven't tried to fit a 5.5 oz can, but I think it would fit fine) the non skid bottom keeps the cats from pushing them all over the floor (or under my breakfast bar ... I used to have to get down and dig out their collection of dishes twice a day before these), they're pretty light and easy to hand wash, and they've held up in the dishwasher after 6 months or more of use and still look like new (and I wash them twice daily, normal setting with 2 Cascade Platinum packs and rinse aid. Even use the heat dry setting and haven't had a problem with any of the 10 we use so far. Not sure why they don't hold up for some people, according to other reviews. Almost didn't buy them because of that, because I need dishwasher safe bowls, but bought 1 to test out for a while first, and glad I took a chance), and the shallow depth prevents whisker stress. I also like that they're eco friendly. They work great for young kittens too. I like them so much that I now put them in all of my new kitten packs when I send kitties to their homes. I wish it came in different colors, and was a little disappointed to see that they're in the 5% of products that Van Ness makes in China; but it's still a great little dish and the price is right, so I ultimately highly recommend this cat dish.

These bowls are just the right size for a cat's meal. They have a weighted bottom so they won't move or fall or slide. There is room for whiskers and the cats (I have three) seem to be delighted eating out of the bowls. They also wash out easily, by hand or in the dishwasher. There is a cute graphic design of a cat in the bottom of the bowl and pretty blue.

Very sturdy. The no-slip silicone base is nice, it seems very well-defined to the bowl. The size is perfect for normal portions for a single cat (please don't overfeed your cat, it's really bad for them!). I bought one for wet food, one for dry food. It doesn't slide at all, and is sturdy enough that she won't flip the bowl over. My cat acted like she didn't like it at first (of course, because she's a cat!), but then hunger and curiosity won the battle. Now she loves them. No pawing dry food onto the floor anymore, no more getting wet food all over the place. It's deep enough to contain the food, and shallow enough for her to easily access all of the food without "whisker stress" (which I guess is a thing). A variety of color and designs would have been nice, but they're cute and appealing looking, so it's not a big deal. I've bought SEVERAL dishes for my silly little cat, and I really like this one best. Well designed, well made, good materials. You can't go wrong for around $3!

These have lasted many for a few years now and still going strong. Easily washed, grips hold it in place, and of course they're adorable.

When my little gang of foster kittens decided it was time to eat real food we needed little bowls just small enough for them to get their little heads to the food. These are perfect! Small enough that our little one month old kittens can get to the food, yet big enough to handle an entire small can of cat food for momma. The bowls are shallow in depth but a decent size radius so that adult cats can use the bowl also. With its rubber bottom it is just heavy enough that kittens are not flipping it over trying to eat from it. This was hard to find in a bowl small enough for a kitten. It is a very sturdy little bowl. Handles kittens chewing on the edges when they are attempting to eat. I gave it only 4 stars for cleaning ease as it is NOT dish washer proof. I guess it could go in the dishwasher, but it would definitely shorten the life of the bowl. I can accept the lack of dish washer ability as it is exceptionally well priced for cat bowls, is perfect size for kittens, is heavy enough to not flip all the time - a hard combo to find. Finally, it is NOT made of plastic. Excellent!

A great pet dish! Made of quality materials, sturdy, and has a nice non-slip base. My only negative (or request) is that I wish they would make them in more colors and different designs. Not really an issue, though, as I’m very happy with my purchase.

I bought several a year ago for ferral cats that seem to hang around my property. I think the previous owner fed them and now I have befriended them (4 cats) and the neighbors cat as well. These dishes work perfectly, right size, don't slide around, easily cleaned, right price, and the cats readily eat from them. I just purchased 4 more to give a friends who feed strays. The dishes seem to be pretty durable also. I usually bring them in at night and rinse them out with hot water. Sometimes leave them full of water overnight if some wet food has dried in the dishes and rinse in the morning with hot water. Very happy with these dishes. My only wish for these would be more variety of colors. Aug 21, 2024. Was going to purchase some more, but these seem to have increased in price a bunch. Fortunately I saw them at Wally World still the same old price.

These are by far the best cat food bowls I have found. Low rim and shallow bowl helps cats minimise/avoid whisker fatigue (yes, I hadn't heard about this either until recently). Don't slide across the floor, don't break easily and the environmentally friendly material is just excellent.

Got 2 of these dishes. My cat and I love them. They function well for both wet and dry food and clean pretty easily. The non-slip base is a big plus. The bowls are a little on the small side but they do ok for my cat. Do not use these as water bowls though as they are too shallow and the water will spill out when the cat uses it.

This dish is the perfect size and depth for our fur baby. After buying one to what is was like, I have since bought a few more.
