Very pleased, a genuine high quality Maglite body at reasonable price. However, very much improved by swapping original bulb for Cree LED. Fairly inexpensive, two minutes changeover giving much brighter light and much longer battery life. Also chose "D" cell torch so can use same batteries in my existing great, but very large, 4 "D" cell Maglite torch, Roberts radio, etc.

Des joints de caoutchouc assis au fond de chaque filetage assurent une étanchéité à toute épreuve, une solution qui permet peut-être de travailler dans des milieux où le matériel anti-détonnant est recommandé. En dehors de ces considérations, l'éclairage de cette torche est puissant et endurant et l'ampoule de secours nichée dans l'obturateur du logement de piles est tranquillisante. Un article très cher mais très efficace.

I am a true believer in Maglite flashlights. They come in all sorts of lengths and colors to fit your need. The more batteries, the brighter the light and the further it shines. I have a 2 D and 6 D flashlight I bought when I was a patrolman in the 80's. We were out looking for a lost child in a park. My team and I were on one side of a clearing in the park. The area was about a mile long of open space. I shined my light across the clearing and was able to light up the tree line on the other side! We were able to see other officers on the other side of the clearing! I have dropped my flashlights from out of my hand, ( Yes I was goofing around ) had them roll off tables and a couple of times off car hoods and yet the flashlights still worked. Mind you, there were a few times when I had to replace the bulb but Maglite included a spare in the end cap back then. update: 1/3/2014 My experience has been with the old style bulbs, Tungsten & Halogen and the old style before these LED came out. I used these as a police officer as did many others I knew in Police, Fire, EMS and everyday users. These are tuff flashlights but I cannot speak for the LED lights. I can say that I dropped my LED flashlight working in my basement with an incredibly unlevel floor, ( this is a home built in 1918 ) and the light broke and I cannot replace the bulb!
