Q: Does this work if the car seat has two buckles ....two red buttons?

It normally will only work for carseats with 1 buckle.

Q: Does't this make it easy for the child to get the buckle unlatched as well though. Is there a way to prevent this without always taking it off?

The tooI does make it easier for the child to unlatch the seatbelt/harness. It is when the tool itself unlatches that it becomes difficult for the child to use. It’s because an unlatched tool doesn’t give enough leverage to unlock the seatbelt/harness. I ended up supergluing the latch on the tool to the tool so it would come unlatched.
