Nice product but v. tight fit on a Panasonic GX7!
In time I may regret this because it took quite a bit of pressure to slide this into the hotshoe on my GX7 & I'm already worrying about trying to take it out again. I don't really plan to use an external flash though, thankfully. Not the product's fault of course - they make no claim for it to fit that camera but I decided to take a punt on it. The grip itself is nicely made and it will be a real help in holding the camera - I have fairly large hands and I haven't found a nice 'natural' place to rest my thumb without straying over the af/ae button. Using this grip my thumb is very securely placed & it will also make it much more secure holding by my side when using a wrist strap. One-handed operation will also be very easy. It doesn't interfere with the on-board flash popping up but you do need to push the flash down in a certain way to avoid it touching the thumb grip - no problems though, it doesn't require you to move the flash in an unusual or damaging way. All buttons are unaffected too.If you have small-ish hands you might find it a bit of a reach on the GX7 - the Type-B fotodiox might be better for you (although a: it might interfere with the af/ae button and b: it might also be a very tight fit on a GX7.) On the models for which these thumb-grips are advertised though I'd say they're a very good buy.Extremely quick delivery from Fotodiox in the US by the way - got here quicker than a couple of things I've ordered from UK shops...

I was really looking forward to this one, and when i received i was happy until i noticed that there was no way to attach it to the camera. Ended up loosing it after 2 weeks. It was also moving a bit and not fitting perfect on the camera. Got a cheap one for 8€ instead and that fits WAY better than this one. Pretty disappointed.

Good quality product
10 out of 10 for quality, but it slips out of position very easily. Perhaps it needs to be engineered in the same way as the flash foot and lock into place. It will be more expensive to do so but at least it will serve its purpose better

A must for Fuji X System fans.
This simple device has transformed the handling of my Fuji X100S. Although I have large hands I can now easily take shots one handed in either portrait or landscape format. The Fotodiox Pro Thumb Grip fits well in the cameras hot shoe and, although not a tight fit, has never come loose or caused problems taking images. A bonus for me is that it fits my Fuji X Pro1 equally well and although I didn't buy it for this camera it's a simple task to switch the device between both. The final winner is the excellent price of the Fotodiox which, as far as I can tell, is of equal quality construction of other much more expensive available devices.

Good, but watch your grip.
I guess it would have been a five star if i would have thought this through. I went ahead and got a 3rd party grip, and that makes the entire camera WAY MORE WIDER than it's suppose to be for using this thumb grip, thus rendering it quite unusable. In standard form, should be fine. Still, the thumb built quality is great, metal and all.
