We have one each for our tablets. The case design is extremely versatile and tough and can apparently protect your tablet should you drop it. Hence I think they are designed with kids in mind! We use our cases indoors only so can’t really comment how they would perform outdoors should you want to take them to different venues etc. Obviously because of the design the screen is always exposed so worth bearing in mind should you mainly be using your tablet outdoors. There is plenty to grip onto when lifting and carrying the tablet. It easily folds and stands on your lap but requires a little support as when standing it can be a little top heavy. But this is just nitpicking! All-in-all it’s a great little case and is very reasonably priced too. That is after (I eventually) realised you have to remove the plastic insert. The instructions say exactly that but the insert ( to me) seemed part of the case and I thought someone had forgotten to put in the insert mentioned. I was looking for a Spider-Man decorated case but for the 1st generation there was none to be found. This one with a Spiderman wallpaper will do the job nicely. Others have mentioned it’s a little dear but I’d say value for money - more than happy with product and seller. It's clear that a great deal of thought has gone into the design - not only is it incredibly well padded but it's designed so that the off and volume buttons are difficult for little hands to get to but easy for adults get. The home button is also somewhat protected so it's more difficult for a child to press. The stand also works really well so that it is very steady and stands up well. I also take a certain degree of pleasure in the way the sleek and beautiful but impractical iPad has been rendered so huge and clunky!
