NOODLER'SBaystate Blue Fountain Pen Ink - 4.5 oz with Free Pen

The pen that came with the ink bottle had a hole in the barrel and leaked ink. Luckily had taken precautions so as not to stain the desktop. The return policy is such that the whole thing has to be returned, whereas I would have liked just the pen replaced...Now it will be weeks before I can start using the much awaited ink

Baystate Blue, what can I say that hasn’t been said before? It is not a well behaved ink. It will stain things. It will destroy many pen materials, specially latex and vintage parts.But what a colour. So bright. So vivid. So rich. And waterproof too.With all the aforementioned problems I still love it for a ink that is permanent enough to use at work and has this colour.So I can’t put it in my favourite vintage pen. I have dedicated an inexpensive Pali 3013 to it. The demonstrator pen looks awesome filled with this Noxzema bottle blue ink. I’ve never had a problem with this pen and ink combo, but if I ever do the pen was so cheap for how well it writes...In short this ink has issues for sure, but the colour and waterfastness of it are worth it if you need a permanent ink and will use it on legal documents. Just don’t use it in an expensive or vintage pen.

This ink is a beautiful bright cobalt blue, reminiscent of the inks you could get in the forties.It's quite dry so it dries fast. It has zero shading and tends to bleed through on lower quality paper. Don't get it on ANYTHING you don't want stained bright blue.It's worth mentioning the Charlie pen that comes with it - it's obviously no Montblanc but it has an ebonite feed, writes great, doesn't leak and it's free.A fantastic ink and a fun little pen.

I enjoy the the colour, but I wouldn't consider this an easy ink to write with. It has a tendency to ghost and spread easily. Maybe would be better with a fine point.
