I really like this product. I have tried several kinds of medium in my painting and artwork. This brand seems to work best for me. It is very durable high-quality and goes on smooth. It is just the right consistency to use for my collage mixed media art. It is a little pricey, but very high-quality. It is a versatile product in that you can use it for several different forms of art. It dries quick and clear. It is now my brand of choice for using in my art.

As it’s label says, this is a very reliable matte surfacing medium. Used normally in fairly small amounts it completely pushes the gloss down into a dead flat. If increased in amount it will create a more transparent colour. But if you over use this medium expect to see so your paint appear a bit lighter in value. That whitish look is just a product of how matte medium works. And that’s normal. Thing is, most matte mediums don’t produce that whitish effect because they usually don’t contain enough of that material to really work reliably. This one does! I’ve tried so many as a studio art teacher. Use it in appropriate amounts and you’ll get a perfect result and you'll find the bottle will last a pretty long time. I love this ultra matte medium.
