Elegant and unique
This is a nice bulb. Wish there were a few brighter options but this does the trick in the small room it is located in. It does project some shadows that bothered us at first but now we love them and how unique they make this room..

Happy with it as direct replacement for existing incandescent bulb
After reading a few reviews and shopping around, I decided to give this bulb a try. Happy I did. It was a 1:1 replacement for the existing incandescent bulb in terms of bulb size light temperature/color. It seems to work well with my 30+ year old rheostat-based dimmer switch in the wall. And it's nice and bright when needed. Would buy again.

Didn't last
I'm on my replacement bulb within a week of purchasing the original one. It seemed fine, looked fine and after a week of being used, it stopped working. Not sure how long the replacement will last. Hopefully for a long time. Will update if anything significant happens.

Great light
Perfect large bulb. We needed a small ceiling light and I didn’t even know a bulb like this existed. It works great with the small ceiling fixture we also got on Amazon. I can’t speak to longevity as we just got it but the brightness and color is perfect for our tiny laundry room.

Too dim
It's hard to find G40 bulbs at all, let alone in daylight temperatures or higher brightnesses. Unfortunately, there is a huge variance in how bright "100W equivalent" bulbs are and these are on the less bright side. Not as much light as I was hoping for. The advertised 1000 lumens is already on the lower side (for instance, I got some A19 "100W equivalent" bulbs that advertise 1600 lumens at the hardware store) but I doubt they're even that bright in reality.

Large and looks great
These bulbs are large and look great in our pendant lights. I added a LED dimmer to make them very versatile.
