Just got this sharpening stone in the mail for a hatchet that was in dire need of a tune up. The stone is good quality, comes with a polishing cloth, and most importantly, sharpens like it should! Thanks for a great, affordable, and quality product! Oh, and the case is great too!

Handy pouch

I purchased this on recommendation from friends and family who are either arborists' or sawyers in the lumber industry and am glad I did.Works pretty much as intended, I have used this to sharpen 3 hatchets and 1 axe. It's handy, easy to use, and does the job well. I like its compactness and the fit in my hand. I would recommend. A great value for your money.

Puck style sharpener arrived quickly and was well packaged. The course side (red) and fine side (white) were not even/balanced, about 2/3 of it was red/course. The red/course side had a small chip along the outer edge of the face that makes it a bit fiddly to use (to avoid the chip). The size and shape is spot on, fitting the hand well and the edge bevels are even and consistent. I marked the edges with the grit levels as the factory stamp wears off quickly but the 180/400 difference is east to tell by touch. I LOVE the nylon snap pouch it comes with that should protect it from banging around and getting more chipped up when stored. Easy to use and good value for the money, lost a star due to the chip in the working face.
